That sounds awful. My parents never invade my privacy and I am very thankful for that. It's not like I do anything they wouldn't want me to, I just feel so tense whenever I feel like they're watching everything I do. I never converse with strangers online, nor do I post anything I'm not supposed to. I just don't like my parents bugging me all the time. I'm an only child so I've become prone to needing my alone time. I just hate it when my parents are on my back when all I need is a little trust.
i dont get no privacy at all because my mom say's im still living under her roof even dohh im a responsible person..she's go's in my closet and through my pants and stuff its wrong..
I understand. Sometimes parents can be over bearing. We have to have a balance with it. Maybe you can talk with your mom about how you have demonstrated responsibility in the pass. Hope this works out for ya!
My parents never searched my room and I'm glad they didn't. Yes, I did do some things they wouldn't have liked, but never too much because I wanted to honor their trust in me.
hey, auntie. hope all is well. i agree that you have to stay on top of your kids. if you dont, they will be in all kinds of nonsense. not enough parents monitor their childrens pages on the computer. next thing you know, they out meeting with some pedophile or something tragic like that. so i definately agree that being in ya kids business is a MUST. like you said, they think they know everything when in all actuality they don't know nothing. watching you lets me know im doing my job as mom.
In about 20 years, I'ma give you an update about my kids because I will be having about 3. I'm DEFINITELY gonna be on top of mines because I went through TOO much as a teenager.
However, my parents have learned how to treat me as their 20yr old son and not a child. I must learn certain things on my own that they can't prevent.
& the more my mother kept me from the world, the more I wanted to explore it. & I sure did... but I learned 4rm it.
But yeah, I'ma let you know the business later. ;)
GREAT video ! I hear Glad talk about you. When my son was a teenager, I removed all the doors in the house and yes even the bathroom. lol No privacy at all. We need more parents more involved!
GIRL... YOU ARE CRAZY! YOU ACT JUST LIKE ME. I KID YOU NOT. My kids say I bug them too much. WHATEVER! I TELL THEM THAT THEY'RE NOT GONNA MAKE ME INTO A LIFETIME MOVIE MOM. So when theyre going through everyday issues from school life and such, one will come home with a sour face... ok ...you got till bed time to let me in on it.. NO secrets, no mess let's talk about it and then maybe we'll cry together or something. but no secrets. my girls are 12 and 14. Pray my strength in the Lord.
Lifetime movie mom..lol you look just like one of my friends name Valerie. Gurl we have to do what we have to do! We will have to pray ye one for another. Thanks for your comments!
you are creating an eviroment of oppression. if they have no privacy at home...they'll do it at school. if a child's friend types a curse word ...your child isnt using it. you cant santion others like that, the only thing you can do is "train your child in the way he is to go and when he is old he will not stray from that path." my daughter's friends say things i find to be offensive, ...she isnt using the same language. the comment was in response to her telling person to go to church.
You should do that. You wake up and you wonder who stole your child. You do not want that. keep a check on the history pages and also when you google their name and see where else they are on the internet... other profiles that are set up under diff names and nicknames etc...
my son is 20 too, but still living in MY house....i go in his room all the time to see what is going on....cause if not i would be blind to a lot of the things he do....YOU GO GURL
BTW mine are only 4 & 6 so I haven't had to deal with privacy issues just yet, but I can ASSURE you that they will be no privacy in my home when it comes to being online & locking bedroom doors. I'll be understanding that they are children & allow them to have fun. But FUN in my book is clean & safe, not trashy, demeaning & unsafe for anyone involved. I'm going to raise my kids the way I was raised and pray that it sticks the way it stuck with me. If not... then we'll both be "famous"! LOL
I don't blame you. A 16 year old doesn't need that type of privacy. His privacy is being able to use the bathroom unattended. There's too much going on these days on the internet & at school. Children these days are trying to grow up much too fast.
LMAO @ you talking about Billion Dollar Barbie & taking the hinges off the doors!!! You sound soooo much like my dad. I know when my kids grow up I'll be the same way. I wish more parents were like you. Great job Mom!!!
Lol my auntie use to so i bought my own laptop . But she still checks it but she because im 19 and a college student and she trusts me so its not as often but its just random. But yeah thats just a parents job. So I agree with you. I really agree with you and the holy spirit. My aunt lets it lead her 24/7. So I feel like I am watching my aunt do this vid lol
You go girl....more parents need to get involved with their children and the use of the internet/networking sites. I try to tell my sister the same things about her children.....They do not like the fact that I am a friend of theirs because I be on them like white on rice. Great Video!!!!
LOL! Now that's what I'm saying.... Had to say " hey change that status" a few times or "hey don't tell the world we are going on vacation - don't want the house robbed while we are away"
Great vid. My 11 yr is always saying something about me standing over him to see what he's doing. I don't go for that because there or people who prey on kids his age. I don't blame you one bit... I do the same.
Powerful,Powerful,Powerful,Powerful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I love this video. May God bless you and keep you and give you peace. When my children was at home I did the samething.
