@goldenpassages when in doubt . go to costoc. they have some AMAZING really fine quality roses , they come pre cut back and waxed , then you plant as discribed here , and trim the tips to make new growth sites . please make an effort to look into this . its so worth it . im from a family of rose growers and this is where i get the great majority unless im looking for an exotic or specific . enjoy .
I have always heard to plant roses with the crown just above ground level. But you are saying to plant the rose a little deeper. Is this unique to your roses or have I been misled in the past? My roses have never done extremely well so perhaps this is why? I plan to buy some of your knockouts as soon as I can locate any. Thank you for your contribution and I will keep an eye on this thread for an answer about planting depth. anybody?
This rose has transformed Houston, Texas! These incredibly hardy roses thrive in the harshest situations: next to freeways, on medians between roads, spaces no one tends to and there they are, blooming away. Bill Radler is a GENIUS!
I love you! You have brought roses into the average guys landscape. I have 8 knockout roses now & I badger all my family & friends until they at least try one. Now they are all converts. We keep each other posted as to where they are on sale. Thank you!!
I really hate to buy a rose without knowing what variety it is. If those roses are not blooming you have no way of knowing what the variety is.
