  • they will never get rid of pvc . its a part of killing us all . haha they will never get rid of msg in food aND aspartame , they wont .. its hella messed up i know ! they dont cARE about lil babies sucking out of cancerous plastic ! they want us to pay 20 dollars for anti pvc stuff ( bottels and glass bottels . i use all glass and metal to feed my baby . and yes the song could of been with held lol

  • damn i hate hippies. leave things like they are if you dont want to make them worse.

  • PVC is one of the most important fuckin materials we have

  • True that!, Infact, the duck that they inflated, the syringes they use to inject themselves, even the signs they are using are made out of it. Fuck these eco-tards!

  • if i was target i would have them kicked off the premiss

  • Cool!

  • Say what do you say we replace the earth with? Alternatives to living on planet earth ain't cheap either! quite probably not possible either. Get real chum, we lived with PVC before, we can do it again!

  • What do you suggest to replace PVC pipe? Used primarily for sewage lines, PVC is cheap, light, and incredibly easy to glue and work with. The metal pipes used to bring water to your faucets cost far more, and most other plastics are not suited to the manner of use.

  • i would suggest using something non-toxic. the money is worth it.

  • the song is gey..

  • hey, one of these guys came and talked at my school. it was cool, so is that giant rubber duck

  • LOL

  • Cars are MUCH more dangerous than PVC. Silly radical enviros, always getting riled up over some exaggerated risk. Shouldn't you be protesting nuclear power?

  • they're taking a smaller approach to a larger problem. you have to start from the bottom. It's useles to protest cars in the middle of a road, but it might change soemthing =the way they're doing it

  • PVC is a poison plastic? A little proof might be more effective than a child holding a sign that he doesn't understand. Though I've checked your website, and I agree that PVC may be dangerous, it'd be interesting to know to what extent. After all, crossing a road is dangerous, but that doesn't mean that we should phase out all cars on that basis alone.

  • check out my clip...thanks.

  • English por favor

  • According to Target statement, (I called them earlier today) they are exploring alternatives to PVC but they first need to study the alternatives from a mass production standpoint. That makes sense to me. Patience my friend. Target will work this out.

  • If you research product safety in the EU, they are more stringent on what goes to market. Patience is not what we need, it's companies who practice safety with bottom line rather than solely focusing on the bottom line.

  • I would think this protest would have a negative effect. Most people will probably think that you're just another crazy liberal group of nutjobs protesting cutting down trees or saving the whales. Target is too popular of a store for you to be effective. try another avenue.

  • Target is the perfect corporation to target since it is so popular. Hopefully, consumers will take the information rather than choose willful ignorance to their consumer behavior. The most frightening observation is consumers want to be able to buy whatever they want regardless of the consequences.

  • A quick question. Why is this directed at only Target and not the other 10,000 retailers in the united states that also use PVC packaging, and you are disrupting peoples shopping for something all retailers do? Do it at a corporate office.

  • The consumer is where the power to change is and when consumers are more informed, I hope that they change their consuming behavior. Therefore, this will change corporate behavior.

  • From a production standpoint, the sound was bad. Having a press conference in front of a freeway will do that. A nice effort, though! Maybe next time go to Minneapolis and blow up that duck at their corporate HQ.

  • yeah, you're right. We were mostly going for the visual impact right near the freeway. For a first effort, though, I think we did okay. We definitely got local media coverage because of the visibility. Next time we'll get microphones and such to help with the noise. We're newbies!

  • One of the purposes of this type of action is to raise awareness of the issue. Probably some of the customers hadn't heard of PVC before and gained some information about it from the action. And this action is not the only thing being done to convince Target to phase out the sale of PVC products in its stores. For more information about PVC and the effort to phase out PVC, check out the websites listed at the end of the video :)

  • I agree. I certainly appreciate people standing up for what they believe in . . . but protesting a company's purchasing policies at a retail location is a little like picketing someone driving a car to get them to lower gas prices . . . they really have no control. Also, don't take your protest into the store. I'm sure that was quite disruptive, and of little more value than a publicity stunt.

  • A nice idea, but unfortunatly, miss targeted. Perhaps a better idea would be to try and get the people in the stores not to buy PVC products and try and educate about what has them. Any workers in that Target store have absolutly no authority or say in the company's policies, so it's very similar to protesting to a brick wall...

  • they were speaking out at their local target store which received media coverage and was passed on to a larger audience.
