  • Vanitas actually didn't start out as a villain. He was manipulated by Xehanort shortly after his birth and that's why he's so malevolent in the game. I'm probably one of the few that truly pity Vanitas' birth because it was sad and heartbreaking. All he really wanted was to not be alone.
