What are you showing here I mean, all these are games way too simple for most cards (At least the ones I've had) and really doesn't show much. Except maybe Crysis, I heard It has a lot of physics controls like the HL series. It also happens to be the only one I've never played.

@towerkeeper117 Farcry and fallout are pretty demanding compared to games like half life 2 or mw2, and they were nice looking games so I decided to throw them in. Maybe this year I can upgrade my cpu and get some really nice/demanding games in (like mass effect 2, dead rising 2, crysis (better gameplay), new vegas and gta iv iiif fraps isn't being a bitch like it is now.)

Good you should have added FPS so we see fps of the card and camera record it so they dont drop because of videoing it on pc while playing but amaizing it doesnt lag at all and you are videoing it!

Go for either cause they both kick ass. What CPU and mobo you got? I think its around 600-700 watt psu to have gtx 460 to run on your comp, thing runs high like 300+ watts man. @lazyboyzico it really varies, crysis it may take down about 10 to 30 fps because the game is more demanding, on less intense games it shall be less. but not by much.

thats why i dont use fraps and use a great program called WeGame. tap that into google while u next use it :D

@SirFancyBubbles the problem is solved now it was simple mistake on my friends side. he was downloading latest drivers for his gtx260 for a 32 bit, he didnt understand / realise he needed 64 bit drivers as his alienware is a 64 bit setup.

the gtx 260 works absolutly fine now on bfbc2.

although i stand by the ati cards running dx11 from the time this post was started, and now understand nvidia have dx 11 cards available.

always been a fan of nvidia and AMD in my opinion are 2nd to intel

And when I add more games to my pc and I try to play crysis on super high it becomes really laggy like all of the other games I try to play, and so I can't play any games on full graphics unless I have only a few games on the pc. I think it might be the memory because the card only has 816 mb of ram. If adding more memory will fix it, then how do I do that?

Check out the 5770 on techpowerup, you'll see it's often just about with the 4870 and that it beats the standard GTX 260 quite a bit.

Just look at the performance summary, which averages everything.

I think a standard 5770 will beat a standard GTX 260 most of the time. A GTX 260 Core 216 will beat the 5770 more often than not though. No DX11 though, not that it matters that much right now.

Definitely a GTX 470 or GTX 470 SC are really awesome, if a bit pricey but you know. DX11 obviously isn't vital but it's good to have. Then again if someone just has a list of current games they want to play the GTX 260 will get the job done.

Also I think the GTX 260 Core 216 is a bit more efficient being 55 nm.

i dont agree i run 2x Superclocked GTX 280's and i had E8400 @ 4.3ghz i change to running a i7 920 D0 at 4.1 (it will go 4.3 stable but i want to spare the cpu a little cos i just got it) and i expirience big increases in games it is not worth upgrading for high end dual core to low end quad core but medium end and high end you will gain nice fps boost

@grandtheftauto1233 - I'd go with the GTX 470, cuz Crysis isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be, in DX10 mode that is, unless it's just an issue with Windows 7, I got a Core i5 750 @ 3.5 Ghz, 4 GB Corsair Dominator 1600 Mhz CL7 Ram, Corsair 750 Watt power supply. so it's nothing else with my system slowing it down.

but Crysis has a crap engine and bad programming anyways.

I think the ghosting with the actual kit goes down quite a bit, if completely in most cases, because the red & blue glasses are pretty primitive, and the actual shutter glasses work much like how your eyes actually work with your brain.
