i think ?1 should be a F#maj (which should be x44200 and not 244300 so it isn't a F#maj) and the ?2 should be a FM7b5add5/C(used chord namer xD) x33200
you sure you said that right? Your finger is on fret 4 and 7, not 4 and 8 (at 5:16). I tried 4 and 8 and it is nearly impossible to get--especially having one finger on 8 and 7 simataneously. Just wondering :)
Awesome man, lovin the Foo's, only had my git for a few weeks and now i can play the Foo's. Great lesson for newbie, well explained and easy to follow, keep up the good woork dude.

awesome tutorial thanks man, that chord in the middle is a bit of a palm stretch though, doesn't seem to fit with the other easier chords, thanks again man
nice work, except you have a couple of odd chords. second chord of the chorus is:
044200
which means after the D, rather than doing that awkward 4th fret thing (which btw you've written wrong - you stretch up to 7th fret not 8th), you just repeat the same ^^ and slide down to E (a lot easier and sounds exactly the same).
Hey, am i looking wrong or the chords for chorus are not right. At 5:26 it looks like you're holding x47600 and not x48700 like it says in the comment? And the next one as well - x36500?
This video is epic. I just started learning guitar about a week ago and this video has helped me alot, as did your tutorial on Everlong. I'd love to see a video showing how to do the solo to this song, especially since there are no other decent tutorials around.
I keep going back to your lesson. Nice work, I really like the song. Don't hear it on the radio and people don't recognize it so it sound fresh. Nice work .
I'm still a bit of a beginner to guitar I've only been playing for 3 years and for some reason I'm having trouble figuring out the strumming pattern's for the chorus can you help me out?
yeah im also having difficulty with the chorus. iv only been playing a week, iv learnt the 1st verse brilliantly (thanks for that btw) i just cant do the chorus :(
I've been playing it now for almost every day and night now and I believe I have it but i cant describe how its done its very simple once you realize it.lol
@Brewer9308 hi! uhm, just a lil advice, (not tryin to be mean or anything like that) maybe you should try an easier song first to get used to strumming and changing chords quickly, im a beginner too! the song that helped me learn that was learnin to fly by tom petty easy song only four chords but it will really allow you to get strumming and chord changing down (: youtube it! the guy with the bald head is a good teacher and if your into singing to its a great song for that as well.........(:
fantastic, you are a legend at classical guitar. i can now play that song on guitar!!!! thank you so much, you now have a subscriber in the UK hehe :)
'I know some people play the verse by plucking two strings at once for certain parts.. this is just how I prefer to play it. '
basically, you use your thumb to pluck whatever is on the E and A strings, and then you use your index and middle fingers to pluck the D and A strings (respectively).
You pluck both D and A strings, fretting 0 and 2 instead of just hitting the open D string.
It's true, that method can sound pretty cool. Sometimes I like to play it this way for the first verse or two, then bring in the two-plucking method later on.. kind of building up.
Thank you so much, your video lessons are fantastic and really help beginners to get confident by learning a few proper songs... thank you! and yes would definitely want to see the second guitar riff over the bridge please :)
Wow, I was looking for the strumming really badly. The damn tabs just didnt make sense to me considering the chords sound really bad when you play them, but you wrapped it up pretty good thanks.
I recently found about foo fighters and this song is one of my favorites too. You made a good tutorial of this and just wanted to say thanks for your generous contribution.
I'll be adding the solo request to my previous posters. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
good one mate your lessons r unreal do you think you could do a lesson on over and out by the fighters. trying to work it out with tabs got fuckin no idea

what is the strumming pattern for the chorus???
WolfV123 11 months ago
@WolfV123 Almost all just down strumming to the rhythm, nothing too fancy. You can add a little extra here and there if you want.

@CurtainGuy Thanks one more quick q about the chorus how many times do you strum each chord in the chorus it a bit hard to tell from the vid??

'I know some people play the verse by plucking two strings at once for certain parts.. this is just how I prefer to play it. '
basically, you use your thumb to pluck whatever is on the E and A strings, and then you use your index and middle fingers to pluck the D and A strings (respectively).
