They just got too greedy for speed and trimmed the boat too high.
Once the boat was airborne it scrubbed off a lot of speed as it presented it's bottom then top into the wind before re-entering They were very, very lucky.
Yeah these boat will easily pass 130+, 200 will be around the corner, glad everyone was alright, and funny how they threw in some humor at the end =].
Boat was "Maritimo" from Queensland, Australia. They claim the other boat cut across, disturbing the airflow & causing the flip. When they went to protest, were told they couldn't as the protest fee had just doubled. Turned out one of the protest commitee was part owner of the other boat. Hmmm...
those boats look flimsy but are built like fucking tanks :)

they mainly crashed coz of the other boat, when it was blowing out the water it hit the front of the boat behind and the pressure made it flip up
