I've heard good performances of Russian Christmas Music, as well as bad ones. Very bad. I can safely say, however, that this is the best I have ever heard.
Awesome! Goosebumps. It seems Mr. Reed did a particularly awesome job writing the fench horn part. Nothin better than to hear the horn section belting (in tune) on this piece.
Phenomenal! I've heard good things about this piece, and I just needed to hear for myself. Glad that this came up first in the search results. *standing ovation*
Absolutely phenomenal!!! Truly one of my favorite pieces to perform or conduct. I am currently working on this with my group for our winter performance--this gave me a new perspective to draw from. You have set the standard for interpretation!
This is the best interpretation of this piece I've heard, and I've heard a lot of them. In fact, I have a CD w/ Dr. Reed himself conducting the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra. Absolutely impeccable. French horns ROCK the house!
great brass sound. This is one of my personal favorites. Nothing beats playing the timpani on this piece. Reed must have really enjoyed the timpani to be able to compose like that takes a lot of knowledge on the instrument.
This is by far the best arrangement and performance of Russian Christmas Music I have ever heard. It was masterful.
Bravo!
