Your review is good. I would recommend trying to practice not using the words "um" or "like (out of context)." A good way to train yourself to avoid those phrases is to do dry runs and takes while paying very close attention to what you say. Whenever you catch yourself defaulting to one of those words, stop for a second, then continue with your thought. It will make you a better public speaker as a whole a only increase the quality of your reviews!
Check out my newer reviews bro. I've been practicing and it has been close to year since my Cobalt review. I've been doing dry runs and would consciencely pay close attention to what I say. It has been a lot of work! I would get so frustrated with myself with how many "um" and "Like's" I would say. Now when i watch the speech in my older reviews I wanna yell at myself,"Get Your Shit Toggether." I still need to get better, I'll send you a link on your page
I agree with the Tool comparision. Cobalt sounds like what Tool would sound like if Tool decided to go all out, rather than put out the same mid-90s prog-grunge album.
Fuck all you assholes who think you gotta put some kind of label on everything. Hipster Metal??? Fucking stupid shit. If it's good, it's good. Regardless of who digs it,. Be it you, me, some faggot ass posers or your MOM!! If posers are digging some good shit, then hopefully that will break them away from the poser lifestyle and open them up to individuality. Just because they are getting recoginition for a brilliant album does not make it hipster metal or any part of some fag ass genre tag.
