by any chance does anyone know of a website where they sell the older library computers, i like to get old ones and rebuild them to make something cool, my fastest desktop is a p-4 2.8ghz and my laptop is a celeron m 1.6ghz. but they all run really fast because of some software tweaks i did in windows xp
Yes, the Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) can save a lot of waste - and work! k12-ltsp or Skolelinux (DebianEdu) are just two further projects making use of network booting.
This is a wonderful idea. I found your videos via the librarian(dot)net blog. I have been curious about Ubuntu for a long time and like anything that will keep stuff out of the junk yard. Thanks.
