I encourage everyone to get involved with their local animal shelters/rescues in your state if you're inspired by Dogtown on NatGeo! Please give some of your time each week (or even just a day a month) to help the thousands of homeless dogs and cats in this country get the loving homes they deserve. I volunteer at a dog shelter and it's so rewarding to see pups get adopted :)
I wish there was a way to rescue children from childhood sexual abuse with some of the skills these people use. But I just can't fathom it. Dogs are easier to rescue than children, which is a 'for shame' on society. With more rescued children, there would be far more caring people to care for dogs. Just how to do it... that's going to take a while to figure out. At least the first step is to TELL. Tell the police if you knkow of abuse. People report abuse of dogs, why not of children foremost?

i hope that those weirdos who keep saying all humans are shit and should die, see this and remember that while we humans are guilty of cruel acts we are more than capable of providing love and care and solutions to the problem. I praise the people who take the time to care for the animals and i have no respect for the ones who just yell at other people and do nothing to solve the problem themselves.
I love to see these goodhearted people dedicated to help these poor animals. What a difference to NUVAS, the animal shelter of Northern Utah who sell their dogs to Utah University and to painful experiments.
if i became president i would totally pass a law that if u are found neglecting a dog they wold be penalized with the death penalty serve those terrible people for mistreating a dog
i am determined to move to the USA and work for you guys. i want to rescue dogs. I will go out in the boiling hot summer or the freezing winter if it means I can save a life. Once i saw (on tv) two street dogs that crossed a busy street. One got hit by a car and the other went back for him, evaded the traffic, grabbed him and pulled him to the sidewalk. he didnt made it tho... whats for dinner?

wolves do that all the time with their puppies, and regardless from the differences between dogs and wolves, the neck of dogs have still the same construction. they have strong muscles and oversized skin at that part, so pulling a puppy up won't hurt them. of course it hurts adult dogs, because the bodyweight is much higher.
hmmm its posible they come across a agressive dog... but they r more likely to find one who hasnt the energy to live another day.. which is proving to be the case
so, they rather not take the chnace, and get their own dog hurt, and the agregessive dog. If there is a dog that is two tired to even get up. They will see it, before even throwing the tires away. They look, they se no puppie in the tire, they throw it. Over and over until they find a puppie in need. In my opinion this is the safer, maybe not faster way.
have you come across int he company of your pet an unsocialized animal.
WHen tis unsocialized animal sees the dog in the company of a human it won't give you a stand off. its like saying if a st. barnard was rescuing avalanche victims... those victims may not like dogs.. so lets just turn the snow over
I do own a dog. I bought a white terrier, and when he was first in my home, he was pretty shy. If i got even a little close to him, he would show his teeth. And i would get scared. Hes better now, hes still stubborn sometimes. Like i said, this is my opinion. You dont have to agree with me.

I just saw this episode yesterday - they're both taken care of and the vet gets them back to normal health. They were both adopted after getting back to normal health and being sent to puppy classes :) Really good ending to a sad story!
I love people who help and do good things for animals. Humans are so intolerant of each other with their racism and predujices and downright unfriendliness. Treat an animal with love and respect and you get it back a hundredfold. I also like to think animal lovers are a more spiritual breed in that they are able to show compassion and empathy to other beings.

omg this reminds me of when one time me and my friends were scootering and we found a dalmation pup with a broken leg. we took it to the vet and they took care of evrything. =D my god i'm such an animal luver!
Aw, that's like when my brother found a fiesty dog with a broken leg and extensive nerve damage in the other. He brought her home, she's been living with us for ages now. It took some time to get her used to people, but she's a great down now.
it was in a country that take no notice what so ever of stray animals so even when i took them to a vet there was not much they were willing to do.... trust me i am a huge animal lover and i did everything within my grasp.
its a beautiful pup...why would anyone throw them away? We got our dogs from a place called "Forgotten4paws". Jet was left tied up in an empty house, no food or water, for over 2 weeks. Julie and the rest of her siblings were thrown out onto the freeway in a cardboard box to die. We still have Jet, but someone stole Julie...I miss her so much...
I hope who ever done that to those cute little puppies or any animal burn in hell. No animal deserves to suffer. It makes me want to cry to think about it.
You know most stray Rez dogs are born from unspayed mothers as opposed to being dumped, and the Dogtown people are more likely feeding coyotes instead of abandoned pups.

thanks for helping those puppies. I dont see why those people who just left them there can just look after them. Or if they cant put them somewhere where they can be looked after.Leaving animals especially youngsters out by themselves is just cruel.
these pups were on a Navajo reservation. sadly, when they don't want the dogs anymore they either dump the pups or shoot them and their mothers/fathers. dogtown is on friday nights at 10 Pacific time on the national geographic channel. they are the group that was instrumental in saving the "Vick Dogs." they are the best!
omg...Thats sad...Part of my family works at BF...If you watched the one today the ladie answering the phone is my Aunt. My Uncle did get interviewed kinda sorta but wasn't in it. Then My OTHER aunt works with the horse and I don't Know what my OTHER uncle does...My Cousin used to work there but moved to Colorado... when you go on the BF web page and go to donate there is a picture of my cousin...I'm not lying.

Its faster that way, plus the dogs there trying to fight have no social contact. So the dogs may start to fight.

You know most stray Rez dogs are born from unspayed mothers as opposed to being dumped, and the Dogtown people are more likely feeding coyotes instead of abandoned pups.

poor pups i would never do that to them.dude shouldn't people get arrersted for doing that..........and this is a really sad video...i hope that never never happens again!!!!!!!!wow o was seeing a dog movie whenvi went on the computer and saw this video!!!!!!

thanks for helping those puppies. I dont see why those people who just left them there can just look after them. Or if they cant put them somewhere where they can be looked after.Leaving animals especially youngsters out by themselves is just cruel.

these pups were on a Navajo reservation. sadly, when they don't want the dogs anymore they either dump the pups or shoot them and their mothers/fathers. dogtown is on friday nights at 10 Pacific time on the national geographic channel. they are the group that was instrumental in saving the "Vick Dogs." they are the best!

omg...Thats sad...Part of my family works at BF...If you watched the one today the ladie answering the phone is my Aunt. My Uncle did get interviewed kinda sorta but wasn't in it. Then My OTHER aunt works with the horse and I don't Know what my OTHER uncle does...My Cousin used to work there but moved to Colorado... when you go on the BF web page and go to donate there is a picture of my cousin...I'm not lying.
