Obama's administration knows the bailouts will destroy the economy, but that is the goal........to pretend that pure capitalism is a failure.

Also, it goes against the Leftists rhetoric that we've heard for decades about Boooosh and the "evil" corporations. The Leftists think we all have short memories and will forget. It's sad to see those hypocrits appoint Paulson (corporate slimeball) and give him free unrestricted power to give billions to "evil" corporations of his choosing.

A Republican reform bill Clinton vetoed twice, only to sign finally during an election year.

Then he took credit for ending "welfare as we know it".
