If this the real Janice McClain, I am crazy excited. This song and album was my favorite for so long. "Passion and Pain", "Second Chance on Love", and "Let's Spend the Night" I played to death. Your voice is amazing to me. I was so mad when there was no follow-up album. I could not understand how such talent and beauty could just leave. As a singer myself, it was artist like you that helped me get better. You showed me what was possible voice-wise. I am so grateful for your songs.

My mother use to be good friends with her here in Philly ( Yeadon, Pa) in the late 70's early 80's, she was so young when she was discovered.

Let's just all agree. Starting with Chaka Khan in the 70's and ending with Mariah Carey in the 90' -- this was the era of the most incredible female pop/R&B singers ever with the most distinctive voices. I don't think it's possible to sing any better than Janice McClain does right here on this song. This performance is amazing!!!

I loved this song...got the album too! Came out in 86. A standout track she recorded in 1979 "Smack dab in the middle" is a disco classic.

This album was great especially the ballad "Lets spend the night"
