  • How did Ellen's voice get deeper?

  • @iCanUploadVideos Helium is seven times higher density than the air we breathe, and you know how if you inhale it, and then speak, your voice is high. Well, Steve found a gas that is seven times Denser than the air we breather, so the opposite effect happened. :D

  • big fan can you form a club in Michigan Mr.Spangler

  • this guy isnt smart! its a genius!

  • whats the rock spark vid called

  • its corn starch and water

  • i love this guy

  • the first one was the best

  • There is this kind of effect with air, if the pressure in the bag ( preferrably tube shape) is sleightly lower or the same and you put a jet of air into the opening leaving space around, even more air will be sucked in around it inflating the bag faster. It was on Richard hammond's innovations or something like that.

  • You can use Xenon but sulphur hexaflouride is cheap. Xenon = £4 per party balloon.

  • coollllccooolllccooolll..

  • thoose look fun

  • nvm its sulfur hexafluoride

  • wats tht gas called tht makes your voice deeper i think its sodium chloride

  • @bih4life1 HAHAHHAHAHHA

  • isnt sodium chloride salt?

  • why yes yes it is

  • i like the mentos and cola idea

  • I keep lauh

    ing at 0:25!

  • what do u use a 55-58

  • Check out the video response!

  • you videos are so COOL!!! x]

  • @charmedrocks777 Helium Gas

  • what gas was used for the deeper voice effect

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride

  • helium, stuff from balloons

  • 1:01 xDDDDD

  • you make science a lot of fun.

  • 1.55 never seen that before ( ive seen coke and mentos but not that thingy)

  • how did he blow the balloon so fast?

  • Look at how they are blowing up their balloons. The woman has her hands around the balloon opening, making less air pass through. He has his balloon opening more open so more air can travel through faster.

  • she hit puberty at 1:04

  • I so want one of those smoke cannons

  • Steve Spangler, you are my hero.

  • Oh wow, can you explain the thing at 1:03 please?

  • She inhaled a gas called sulfur hexafluoride. This gas is six times denser than air and sound waves travel much slower through it resulting in a really deep voice XD

  • Helium is 6 times lighter than air, and when you breath it out while speaking, your voice gets very high. So on the show, she breathed in a gas that was 6 times heavier than air which cause her voice to be much lower and deeper.

  • The gas inside the ballon ( sorry, i dont remember which one) has a higher density than the air you breath, so sound "takes longer" to pass through your throat, and it comes ou like this, with a lower frequency

    I think thats it =D

  • whats the experiment with the deep voice?

    ?

  • this guy is so cool... i wish my science teacher was like him haha

  • Flip i wanna walk on corn stach!!!!!!!!!

  • cool video huh!

  • i think that is very cool

  • I want to learn also!

  • can anyone tell me where to find info of the experiment at 0.53 ?? please

  • We posted a video response with that experiment! You can also go to the link in the description of this video and type in Thermite Reaction to learn more about the experiment... Enjoy!
