Do not use rubber bands. An inexpensive after market kit lets you bolt the wing on.

been there done that but my plane wasn't saved. The wing floated down softly and the and the rest went down like a rocket. all over a $2.00 bag of rubberbands

on just mt slow stick i use 6 rubber bands for a 10 mph plane!
