I have ridden every type of bike. Fixed gear puts the power to the ground like none other. Jetskis and boats have no brakes but do require some skill and anticipation to stop. The same is true with a fixed gear bike. Even if I had a Front brake i would never use it. I am not a hipster or whatever but I am a minimalist and whatever is not being used has got to go. If the Gov is worried about safety how about some bike lanes in San Antonio!!!!!

They're culture-bashing fixed-gear riders and it has to stop.

In San Fransisco, even with all those hills, cops don't care if fixed gear riders ride brakeless.

@DizzyHips OR they know exactly how gears work and simply got tired of all the problems they cause when you ride a lot (50+ km each day). Fact is that gears are unnecessary in flat areas and actually it's the lazy people who insist on having gears so they don't have to mash at any time.
