  • I love Egypt and I hope one day Inchallah that I will see one day and smell the air and touch the sands, drink the water of the Nile and talk to the people. Just beautiful!!! I see beauty in everything, even in things where others may not find. Egypt is in my heart and soul :)

  • I love Egypt

  • love every bit of egypt. I was there 2 summers ago and wish i could go back

  • Yes, it`s hot and dust, but it`s beautiful and alive. My heart can only find the peace in Cairo. I am missing Egypt like crazy.

  • The people who see the dirt are missing the richness of this city and it's people. Ahlan Nass!

  • yess cairo is old and dirty and dust !but it is living !!

  • Poluted, crazy, dirty, hot, but I love Cairo (and Egypt).

If you want to relax, go to Dahab!!

  • the clip isnt bad ,that wat cairo is to sides the rich and the poor ,no midle way in it it is real side from cairo .i have seen it to .

  • these pics only for old cairo but there is cairo and new cairo those divided from the great cairo so its not sad or bad

  • an enchanting city full of history and beautiful people but the city // gov't need to clean the city of trash. almost all canals are used as a garbage dump. there are plenty of desert area that landfills can be built.

  • yeah the video is really too bad

just showing ppl leaving in a symmetry and few other shoots

cairo is too big with abt 25 million person

u cant tell its old dirty or sad

may b its classy trendy and extreme joy

    many words to describe

i enjoy my living in it

a night in a trendy fine club and a day with a horse somewhere around the prymids ,,chilling on the river,,a live concert in 1000yrs old palace and late night out over the hill with fire and music

i'm sure everyone ll love the mix

  • The city looks old, dirty and sad

  • I Love this city. The best city ever

  • Very bad clip :(

  • ALLAHU AKBAR!!!

  • remember thats the old part of cairo

  • Thank you for this clip! We're using it to feature Cairo on Chaah's Guide to the World's Cities. It's our favourite!

  • makes me want go back

  • I miss Egypt so so much:(

  • cairo has 21 million people, i was there 3 weeks ago and i felt in love!!!

  • Its really impressive that you showed how 2 million people live in poverty in Cairo with their homes being the graveyards the city of the dead as known in Western literature. Now if you are Egyptian, show us ya batal what do you propose to help them!

  • Well looking at your details its said the US, well Mr tourist, in a city of 12 million people, you should know that its history goes back to 969 A.D., with so many segments in one city...

  • a city of 5 million not 12 million.

  • I MISS CAIRO and im going back this year YAY!!!!!!!!

  • it makes me feel i want to go to cairo, just to see theyr life, and wake up at morning with that ral history, but is not just egyptian history is alot countryes history, is the other face of our life, that face we dont wana show to others but exist............. and is behind us,,, very nice thanks for this video to share it with us,

  • Exellent video! The call to pray, the weddingmusic, the pictures, everything reminds of how much I love that annoying city! :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • This reminds me of the imam who used to clear his throat of phlegm straight into the loudspeaker at 4am which was right next to my apartment before the call to prayer. It still makes me want to gag!

  • Ana beHab al Qahirah awy awy.

I lived in Cairo for three months in 2006, and I hope to go back.

  • i can't wait to go back either. stayed for 2 months and i am moving back.

  • i love muslims and egypt. it's my dream to visit cairo. would it be possible for me to marry an egyptian girl?i am a good human being, don't drink or goes to joints ever.

  • you may never heard about some thing called the soul of a city, cairo has this, you love it and yet wonder why you do, you may live in a city that is cleaner or more beautiful but you'll miss the love between you and your city, if you hate cairo then definitely you are missing a lot in your soul

  • you're so funny!

  • you make me remember Egypt but soon I will be back again :) el hamdolelah

  • In Cairo contrasts can live in harmony. People LIVES in GRAVES and thus they are able to SMILE. They SMILE in tragedies and CRY in weddings. In Cairo you will find RICH neighborhoods in the middle of POOR ones. you will find what is MODERN in harmony with what is ANCIENT. In FESTIVALS we visit GRAVES. It is not the best of cities but it is just unique. I am an Egyptian living in Cairo and despite all problems I face everyday, I like it here a lot.

  • here here!

  • Great!!!!!!!

  • Shukran gezeelin for this small but great visit to al-Qahira. Thanks especially for including the balady side of Cairo -- not to emphasize poverty but to include these wonderful people.

  • Any way, thanks for reminding me about this beautiful place. Cairo, alhamdullah 3la kol 7al

  • HAHAH WHERES THE CONTRAST?

  • i didn't see any contrast either.

  • this is like making a video of compton or the bronx and than saying that its america...

  • To reiterate what AhlyEgyptian is saying, you cannot say this is Egypt. Let me make a video of America and just go to the hood/projects. What ignorance.

  • Thank you for this great video. I love Al Kahira and I miss this wonderful old city if I am back in Europe.

  • great movie

  • this video is a big piece of (shit) !! what kind of contrasts u wanted to talk about !!? have u shown the modern parts of Egypt .. have shown the modern people of Egypt ?? sick asshole

  • Ma3alasaf what was shown, is the truth....but their are many people living in the same Egypt in another world...but why help the poor people ha? Zakaat? What are you talking about, never heard of the word....

  • I love this video and I love Cairo.

    Thank you for posting it!!!

  • hey i love cairo too

  • means lifestyle like that of the pre-Islamic times in Arabia, full of ignornace and baseless wrong practices that are both stupid and misleading

  • To many muslim Egytians, this type of the caller's voice to prayer can shed some tears from their eyes. The pictures of the graveyards (which were on the outskirts of cario 100's of years ago) is most touching and remind me of my parent's grave. Thanks for those emotional moments you gave me seeing your nice video.

  • fucking jahiliyyah in the 2nd half

  • Sorry but what does "jahiliyyah" mean?

Thanks for commenting on my video.

  • @daddyknowsbest

"jahiliyyah" means "ignorance", or "age of ignorance" in arabic ...

  • @daddyknowsbest it means ignorance

  • have been living in Egypt for ova a year, and now I really miss it. Im going back for 3 months this year. Straight to cairo. Shukran gidden :)

  • beautiful city-I will be there soon as well

    thank you for posting it!

  • Hello, I need to use this video in a work presentation about Egypt and its various contrasts, your piece is just perfect. So, first, can I use it? (and credit you of course) and second, if it's ok,can sou send me the high resolution file?? I am Egyptian by the way.

  • You can use it but how can I send you the high res files. What formats can you play. The file size might be over 100 meg.

  • Cairo is very weird city, it is dirty, poluted and dusty, however, it has amazing charm and majic atmospher that once you visit this city, you will must return to it again in future, I think Egyptians are the most friendly in the universe.

  • Nice Work! Will always love Cairo

  • nice video thank u
