well you have to put yaself in valves mindset, they wanted to become money makers after this point, not game developers, so they ditched it so people with crap computers could play hl2. Tbh is the same reason valve cut around 60% of the game, money......thats all

....you obviously wern't around when it first got leaked then were you :/ the cuts had all been made BEFORE axel leaked it. it's one of the reasons why axel leaked it in the first place....cuts were made BEFORE not AFTER hense why the ACTUAL program in the leak, runs a very crap version of retail. The original storyline maps got leaked with it this is true, but the actual game had already been cut...please do some history before ya pipe up :/

No but I mean look at those awesome reflections at around 1:05, it just looks unlike anything I've ever seen in a source game... Or, maybe it's just that particular setting that makes it looks that epic, I dunno... If only they left this part in the final version... hehe

I remember this video! But is it just me or does this video (dating from 2003:/) look a lot better than the current capabilaties of the source engine?

@TheRickerX It probably looks like. See, this was played on lower resolution, witch makes things look better. But if you have a big monitor and run a small resolution the quality wont be good.
