a true supercar is above all sense of usability or confort, or even practicality ,thus it's a completely irrational feeling that gets you into loving them. Its all about art, passion and thrill. So in this respect I agree with you, the veyron is more of a technological achievement rather than an outburst of passion . As you said, you don't need extreme cars like the zonda or a lambo to experience thrill and adrenaline. Especially if you consider such great cars as Japanese rally machines

Dude, i don't like supercars either, i like cars that you can actually drive fast on every road (as a big rally fan, my dream car is Integrale Evo.), but you must have respect to this car, because it really is a state of the art, wonderful to drive, and mos of all, not make for top speed, it's make for pure driving pleasure...

and i admire every car that has that purpose, no matter how it looks... for example, i really hate mercedes slr, and is also a supercar...

I do like the Zonda but 17 years ago the McLaren F1 was the fastest car on earth and it was until 2003! Thing is the Zonda F roadster has 23 more horsepower than the McLaren and it's still slower!

They recieve a lot of "donations" from car companies and guess what they get in return. Mainly Toyota doesn't really shine when it comes to build quality, they're below average, yet in surveys they shine *cough*.

And to give you an idea how Surveys(mainly) rate their cars with vague dots:
