I am a gay adoptive dad. Our first son was born prematurely and suffering from many drug-exposure related problems, and I would play this song over and over as I rocked him gently during the quiet moments when all we could do was hope. Each tear I shed over him was a prayer for healing light. This song was such a wonderful support. And by God's grace, our son is just fine and a happy 5 year old who is the light of our lives and of all who know him.

The version w/o Mary Blige is from Sinead O'Connor's "Gospel Oak" CD which was produced in June 1997. The album includes five other songs as well that you can hear bites of on Amazon. I bought a perfectly working used copy at Amazon for around 4 bucks which included shipping.
