  • Hi Dr. F Its Bai si lie :)

  • SO, It takes four minutes to count to 999 in Chinese, I just wish it'd take four minutes to do my taxes.

  • ive seen this video more than 15 times.do i really have to see it again! somebody save me!!!

  • I just wrote 1-199 lol

  • is this mandarin?

  • yes it is

  • how come for 5... the pronunciation sound just like wo mean i? im so confuse... cuz its 5 is spelled wu but pronounce like wo which mean i. Can anyone explain this to me please?

  • They both sound almost the same but they are spelled different. Wǒ means I and Wǔ is number 5. They both have the same tone.

  • hey bro how do you put the tone mark on wo and wu? can you tell me what program you download and if you know how to convert english words into chinese pinyin please?

  • @MrIlovedramaseries - To simplify it, 'wo' is like the English word 'war' but put the mandarin tone on it. 'wu' is like saying 'wood' but without the 'd' but extend the vowel sound and use the tone. Do not say 'woo' (as in woo a girl) but try for that rounded oo sound in wood.

  • So Chinese people say one hundred zero one?

  • for 20, it's not 2 plus 10, it's 2 times 10

  • This is great

  • why do they make ling so complicated? in 3:36, I mean I think you could also just write 一百〇一。Or is that only with dates like 二〇〇八?(not trying to be dumb, just asking)

  • well, 〇 (zero) is very easily modified. 零 is not.

It is same for you to write zero, rather than 〇 on a check.

for 二〇〇八, it is informal, but acceptable. The formal one is 二零零八, which is not popular now

  • in minute 2:51 it says twenty (èr shí) and the next one is 13? and ending with shí? I don't speak chinese, but only with this video I can tell its 23 instead of 13.

If they are meant to teach chinese....

  • It is correct.

    After 20 is 30 ( San Shi ), not 13 (Shi San).

  • i kinda know that :(

  • Yea its correct, now they are counting by tens. 20 (er shi) then 30 (san shi).. and so on. :) Your still learning.. and its a nice job you're doing with out even understanding chinese! :)

  • Thumbs up!

  • u donno chinese don learn la we also don like u all teach chinese lor cos u all not chinese at all

  • after 20, it is 30.
