  • Matter of fact, you shouldn't even have the car door open when pumping gas. Get out. Shut the door. Touch something metal to discharge your own static electricity. THEN AND ONLY THEN pump the gas.

  • 1. Woolen sweater doesn't cause static electricity

    2. The cellphone advice no longer applies, at least in cities, as the power output has been reduced

  • @LMB222 Woolen sweater + car seat = buildup of static charge. How'd you even come to that conclusion?

  • Disd u see she try to blow on it

  • mrskarenkatz you are the antichrists friend for spreading your false religion. Read the bible for yourself. Family radio is just fullfilling the end time prophecy of false prophets in the end times. And has nothing to do with this video.

  • That babe was just so hot she made the gas spontainiously combust.. Notice her calm reaction? This sort of thing probably happens to her all the time.. I would totally tap that, and I would even use lube to reduce the risk of more spontainous cumbustion..

  • easy chemistry ;)

  • well thats my chemistry homework done

  • Cell phones do not cause fires! Static electricity does! Do not get back in your car once you have started fueling also fill gas cans on the ground, not in the back of your truck.

  • she was BLOND!!!

  • OK, why did she leave her door open, why did she use a dangerous mechanism on stupid American nozzles and why did she go and sit in the car???

  • I hope that wasn't a rental car.

  • She kept touching her sweater creating charge.

    She got in the seat.

    She used the cell phone.

She didn't touch the metal first to discharge static build up.

Don't get in the car while filling gas.

  • That was close!!!

  • That is one more reason why diesel is a safer fuel.

  • When she jump back into her car and sat down, she cause static electricity by the car seat. If you get back into your car and get out to pump, you should ground yourself first before pumping gas.

  • Almost forgot...I saw in a documentary created by firemen...contrary to the woman's actions, in general, it's NOT a good idea to remove the filler nozzle from the car if it's on fire. Just leave it and get away.

  • @ilike2watch001 fuck that its burning my ride!!

  • @scudtub Fuck Mythbusters. Just because they couldnt do it, doesnt mean its not possible. I work in a gas station, I've seen it.

  • If you look closely, just after she noticed the fire start, you see where she momentarily put her face close to the fire to try and blow it out. Otherwise, as far as we could tell from the video, lucky for her that the car's tank didn't blow and/or any of the pumping equipment either.

  • What a retard, by taking out the pump all she's doing is providing oxygen. I hope her car blew up.

  • @GreenBlaze75 Your a fuckin idiot

  • No, actually I'm right. Oxygen = Fire.

Sorry you're too uneducated to understand that.

When you have a gas pump fire, you're supposed to LEAVE THE PUMP IN THE CAR.

  • @GreenBlaze75 the fact you wanted her car to blow up is what makes you an idio and a fuckin punk

  • After I posted that comment I realized that might of been what you were implying. That was wrong, and I agree. I have nothing to argue that point, as there's no reason to.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • l...o...l...

  • cell phones have never been proven to cause gasoline fires, they proved it.

  • 1. Always touch the side of your car before pumping gas. It releases any electrical charge you body has stored

    2. Never sit back in your car like she did. Sliding across the seat will create a charge.

    3. Likewise, don't talk on cell phone.

    4. If filling a plastic gas can, place it on the ground to release any charge.

  • @autocook16

cell phones are not a factor in gas station fires

    it was on myth busters

  • @autocook16 Nothing to do with cell phones, proven time and time again that getting back in to your vehicle and the coming out statically charged causes these accidents. Pumps should not be allowed to be left pumping whilst drivers can do other things.
