Erdogan seems like a really good leader from where I'm standing (the other side of the world). People like him don't come around too often - he has the class & poise to adjust the status quo for the better. People talking of Caliphates / Sultans etc are being far too simplistic. The world has changed & won't be going back. For Middle Eastern countries to gain national independence would be a step forward. This is why people like Erdogan are such a blessing.
