  • I am a muslim and I hear what you are saying. Islam and Judaism are very very close in terms of dietry laws, monotheism, family values and other such things. We have a huge love for Moses (PBUH), David (PBUH) and all the other prophets of God, they are our prophets too.

The only difference is that we believe God sent us two more prophets: Jesus (PBUH) and Muhammad (PBUH) to correct the distortions made over time in the original values of Judaism.

May God (Allah, Ellah) guide all of us.

  • Shalom Lori May our creator bless us all . I am pleased to hear your positive thinking. Also to let you know that I am a Muslim and we cannot be Muslims unless we believe that Jesus, Moses, Abraham and his children were Muslims and brought the same message as Muhammad. Innovating the way of life which is brought to us by all of them, will leads us to disaster. Carrying the brand name Islam also is not enough. Most certainly God will not judge the brands, but the actions.

  • Lori, Im a muslim and i agree with you. Judiaism and islam are the closest religion. the problem is not the in religion but the followers of the religion jews and muslims. We should not judge a religion by its wayward so called followers.

  • Hi,

I'm a Muslim. The problem with the Jewish community I think is it became too materialistic as opposed to spiritual. They live in a secular world where they identify themselves as being Jewish. Much like most Christians in the west and to a lesser extent Muslims. In Israel iteself, when I see videos of Tel Aviv, it's all about having fun and identifying as Jewish only by supporting the state.

  • Nice talk. Salaam/Shalom!

  • Deefanatic, I am Muslim and I can say Lori did not insult Islam at all, so let us be fair.

  • absolutely beautiful video

  • I usually don't comment on vidoes relating to religion.. to each their own I would say. But I have to say that Lori is correct that Judaism shares the same values. But at the sametime, I don't think it is much to fear or worry as both Jews and Muslims conceptualize God similarily (God with no partners) and share their love for the prophets like Abraham and Moses (peace be upon them). As a Muslim I have a lot of respect for the Jewish faith & see American Jews as role models for American Muslims.

  • Bravo. Whether you are Jew or Muslim, be a good Jew, or a good Muslim, and you will be fulfilled in life, and you will do good to others.

  • What is wrong with Jews wanting to prevent their own from leaving? You Muslims certainly wouldn't be happy if the reverse.

  • What about alcohol ? Does the Torah or Judaism condemn that ? Also what is the dress code for women ? Modesty is defined differently in every culture. Does Judaism give us any limits ?

  • Judaism does not condemn alcohol, and in some cases like Purim it is required to get drunk. For wine, wine most be made by Jews to be kosher. Modesty: women usually wear skirts below the knee or calf, a high-necked blouse, and shirt sleeves go below the elbow, even when reaching up. Married women cover their hair with a wig or hat.

  • Thanks Lori for making us think of what we are representing, and reach out with the hand of HaShem to others and to be an example.

  • And what would be a "clear proof" of Islam, but without demogogue, pls? Who is Isaa bin Jusuf, who is Mussa? From what testemonies Muhammad a.s. mentions them? Do you know that what Muhammad a.s. have done with Aisha is a sin?

  • "Say: We believe in God, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another." Qur'an, 3:84.

  • Lori...you really should leave people like this girl making up her choice. She is not a little girl who was lost and mesed up or whatever. She is grown up person, healthy and happy with clear mind. Let her be happy. Allah (swt) opened her heart for Islam because it's 'maktub'.

If you take a time and read a Qur'an without prejudices you will see clearly what that girl embraced when entered Islam. So leave her alone and take care of your self and your matters.

  • I ask you, what would happen to a muslim girl, who happens to convert to judaism? will she be "killed"??? Will she be loved anyway, and accepted by her family for her choice? I think not. My heart aches for this girl because once she marries she will become a prisoner and treated badly most probably. This happens very much.

  • I'm a Muslim, but I had to go against your comment. Did the presenter insult Muslims in anyway? Brother/Sister in Islam, prove your case through intellect and humbleness.

  • westfronteastend

wow wait minute did any one said this lady insult any one

  • B"H

Without the Beith HaMiqdash, without the Sanhedrin, without the reinstitution of sacrifices, our religion is merely surviving, not thriving.

It is time for a majority of Diaspora rabbonim to become truly courageous, and lead us BACK HOME TO ISRAEL.

Bottom Line: Give all Jews the gift that will keep on giving. Rebuild the Beith HaMiqdash.

    CHAZAK!

  • I think the only REAL way to God is through Yahshua Messiah. In any case I do feel quite sorry for this young lady. The lady who made the tape ask why this girl left Judaism. simple answer It didnt have what she needed...a relationship with God.

  • Its not neccecerly ONLY REAL way trough

Yahshua Messiah. Its the easiest, but it could be done by good behaviour and obeying Gods commandment from Old testemony also..I am a Christian, by the way...But trough the Islam, its shurely not the way to God, to Iblis maybe...

  • Of course your jewish friends like you. Judaism treats people with kindness. My question to you is, would your jewish friends be accepted and liked for who they are in a muslim country? I highly doubt it. They would have to walk around in fear. Why do you think that is is Islam is a continuation of Judaism, and has the same values. I just do n't see it in the Islamic countries. To me, that is what the whole world would be like if they were in control. there would be no peace.

  • just say that you are anti-muslim and get it over with.

  • Because all the three great faiths have the same source they all look the same and teach mostly the same values.

Indeed society which basically is based on things that have nothing to do with religion wants us to behave differently. I wish I had Jewish friends that actually followed their Holy Book more. I'm a Muslim myself btw.

The same thing is happening with Muslims as well. Especially the young ones. They know MTV songs by heart and 1 or 2 short Quran verse. What is happening to us?

  • Lori, it is very simple.

The Tanakh has many parts that are Godly and powerful, (e.g. many of the Psalms, many of the prophets' stories) and others that are contradictory and weird - clearly the work of men (e.g. was Ahaziah 22 or 42? How can a prophet impregnate both his daughters?).

The Quran however is both rational and spiritual. It does not read like a story book, rather like a conversation, with God speaking directly and guiding us.

    peace

  • How can a prophet have killed so many Jews in Medina? By Islamic standards, even Adolf Hitler could be a prophet.
