It's funny because I was always hated, even physically abused, for my creativity. My characters aren't furries but they looked similar to them. Now, my classmates are willing to pay me for my stories and artwork, even some of the ones who bullied me. Sad world we live in...

We live in a free country. A free country is a marketplace of ideas. In this marketplace there are ideas that some don't like and will say so, and some do like and will say so. In those situations, the best thing that can be done is agree to disagree. Some people identify with furries, some are offended by them.
But in a free country, not a single one of us, furry/hater or otherwise, has a right NOT to be offended.

It's a common misconception that the fandom is inexorably tied to the animal rights cause. I know of numerous furries who go game hunting. Even vegetarianism doesn't seem more common among the fandom than the general populace. Furries identify with animal traits, and that can include a respect for the natural order of nature, including predation.

I must say I'm quite impressed by the relative neutrality of the piece. The simple truth to this particular fandom is, ask 10 different people what it is, and you'll get 10 different answers. Ask a person who is a dancer or performer at heart, and their response will be different from someone who is involved from a spiritual perspective. This showed a good cross section of ages and interest levels, people who are fandom "celebrities", staffers, or casual convention attendees. Very well done.

I rather like Uncle Kage's voice for some reason, it interests and amuses me. I applaud you for being able to show people that furries like me are not a bunch of sex crazed maniacs like the media would seem to describe us as.
This documentary was very informative too (have seen all parts) so thank you for uploading this for viewer's enjoyment.

I must say I'm quite impressed by the relative neutrality of the piece. The simple truth to this particular fandom is, ask 10 different people what it is, and you'll get 10 different answers. Ask a person who is a dancer or performer at heart, and their response will be different from someone who is involved from a spiritual perspective. This showed a good cross section of ages and interest levels, people who are fandom "celebrities", staffers, or casual convention attendees. Very well done.

Haha. As a wannabe furry, I thought these videos were very well done and represent the fandom very fairly. Sure wish I could get off my but and get better at drawing human figures so I can create my own fursona... ._.
The community does look very fun, and I've always preferred the anthro characters in movies and shows over human ones.

Anyway, great video; really gave a fair view on furries. It was also very high quality and well-made, which you don't find often around these parts.
I would very much appreciate it if you could keep the comments section clean, although I understand if you're busy. Most of these comments don't contribute much, though, I'm sure we can all agree.
