@dethbryte518 how do u know evryone who listened to the song was Christian? You have no place criticising this song because it doesn't conform to ur ideals. Alan Jackson wrote the song to commemorate the people who lost their lives on 9/11. From the looks of your comment you need to have a look at yourself before you criticise others.
*suddenly be opened? and the racist comments arent helping either. it has nothing to do with what "color" we put in power its that we took our eyes off of God's power and try to put it into man. we are still a nation under God and taking away the words will not take that away!
People amaze me... This song is not disrespectful and I'm sorry if you see it that way but... Song writing is a God given talent that some have.. And it's a way to show how the person feels and to get it out. And that's what most people did after 9-11. They got it all out. No this may not "change" anything but you can't say that it won't. Someone who lost people in the towers may have listened to this song to help cope. Who is to say that someone from iraq couldn't ever hear this and his eyes s
Fuck alan jackson he can go fuck himself. Just like all of you. Exploiting the emotions of victims of a tragic event to make money is greed. Which is a sin for all you stupid Christians.
I've always felt the United States' response to the devastating events of September 11th should have been peaceful and reflective of our humanity. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I created a video and posted it on my channel to honor those who lost their lives that morning and in the wars that followed. Peace is possible, but it has to start somewhere.

This is a time of weakness and only the strongest will survive these upcoming years so for those who died they may have been strong enough but that was a sucker punch to the americans
I was so young at the time, in kindergarten. I was living in TN and I thought that b/c tn and the us had basically the same shape that TN was being attacked! it's weird. We never wanted to be considered "people who saw the twin towers collapse" we just wanted to stop crying and being scared, wanted our friends and family to be safe. wanted to think it was a bad dream. We never imagined to live through one of the most sad days in US, but we did.
who says I'm afraid to die? I'm not, I believe in God, I believe in an afterlife, because to DIE will be an awfully big adventure.
I'm AFRAID of HOW I DIE. Suffocation i will struggle and I'll feel my lungs burning, my eyes bulging, everything going numb. Burned, I'll feel the heat, feel my skin sizzle and pop, cry, do everything but in the end I will suffer. I would rather die painlessly in my sleep. So its how we die that I'm afraid of, not when or death itself. Thats crazy talk.
im not going to tell you your wrong about god or that your right all i want to say is this. you must live a boring life, we go through this world day after day and some of us have faith some of us dont but the ones that have faith are lucky they have something to look forward to and im happy and proud to be one of those people the ones that don't have faith like you have nothing but they can see and feel thats all nothing else to look forward to or enjoy after you've lived a good life andthatsad
i was in first grade and they made us come in from reccess early and they turned on the news and i sat htere and cried my eyes out because my best friend and her mom were in the north tower when it was hit and i had just let the day before if i could i wouldnt go to school on that day but i do and i were red white and blue to show how much i care

i rember the day so clear even though i was a kingergarden i had just gotten back from a doctor's appontiment inf folrdia i had a barny cast cover on. an anouncemnt came over the intercom for a moment of silence and to go into lockdown mode. they didnt tell us our parents did and i was scared for my daddy because i didnt know if he was going to new york to help.
every one even now in seventh grade ask me why on 9/11 i dont go to school instead every year im in newyork the all ask me why do i havbe a firefighter medalion on my gold chain and i say to them its my sign of showing tht i care and that not every one has a father and brother anymore and this is what i tell everybody " i loved my dads and brothers we didnt always get along but i miss them now and wish we had more time together"
when u think bout it we all love america i remeber 9/11/2001 not very well i was only in kindergarden and i remember i lived in florida at the time but i remember the school on lock down i was older then most kids so i was helpin and i remember watching the president come on tv and say that we were under attacks i was cryin that day i lost half my family :( i lost my uncle my dad stepdad and i lost 3 brothers it was very sad that dat but the funeral was the worst part i didnt stop cryin and ever
I'm sorry but thats not helping. it doesn't bring them back. i wish we were never attacked. stupid talibon.... =( a movie about it Tiger Cruise, they don't show anymore. They don't mention it and its an insult to those who died, WE SHOULD SCREAM IT, TELL WHAT HAPPENED! We shall be strong and we will defeat the talibon, no we're not weak, we're americans. Stupid and crazy- yes, weak- no. Those who died weren't going "yeah I did that..." they thought "Is this the right thing to do?"
a lot of the people i know are firefighters and cops. when i was old enough to actually understand why the terrorists wanted to attack us i said "well ill go beat the up cause america is my home and i dont want it to be ruined for everything we worked for.
I don't remember everything from 9/11.. But I do remember my Kindergarten teacher shutting the blinds locking the door and turning off the lights and asking for silence. then a few years ago i visited the Memorial of the twin towers.. I wish I could've seen them before they were gone.
i was only four years old and i was crying me eyes out. that nioght i had a nightmare about my parents dying in the collapsing because they are and always will be firefighters. i remember the faces of all the firefighters and cops in my town and this song still makes me cry when i hear it.
im going to become a cop and firefighter in rememberance for all the ones who died
I was a baby at the time. When I first heard this song it made me realize that it happened in Washington D.C..When my mom told me they were going after big cities like L.A. and Chicago I didn't beleave her.I knew they would still try to go to places like the Nickalodean hotel and Universal.I'm hoping that the army deveates them soon.
at school a couple of people and me have to do a sild show about 9-11 we watch a video and this song was on it a couple of people cried and i am only in fith grade
I just dropped out of Pre-K the week before and was helping my mom vacuum the t.v. room. The t.v. showed a plane flying into a building and then another one fly into the one beside it. My mom turned off the vacuum, I won't forget the look on her face,
first grade morning recess. having a careless game with my friends. my dad came to pick me up from school that day. i didnt understand.... so he took me to mcdonalds we got out routine shake and he tryed to explain to me that grandpa was gonna help people get out ... still remember the look on his face..
4th grade at the time and really had no idea what was going on, couple teachers had rushed into the class room to tell my teacher and thats all i remember that day. I was told in more detail about what had happened but it didn't seem to register in my mind at the time.
I was in kindergarten and all i remember is seeing a big plane fly right over us and all of a sudden all the teachers told us to get in and i didnt know why one little plane could cause so much sorrow when i was younger but now i realize that those brave people who died in those towers and the pentagon were heroes and every year i thank god that those heroes are resting with the worlds greatest protector!
Thank you for everything you guys do just to protect strangers lives! Rest in Peace! <3
i was in 2nd grade and all of the parents came to our school to have lunch with us. they wanted to bomb DFW where i lived. after lunch all of us were sent home. i remember getting home and just not having any clue of why everyone was crying!! its a sad day that will never be forgotten and thank you sincerly for all the brave people that risked there life during this tragedy!
i member tht day... I was at skul n my teacher turned on the tv n i saw wht was happening i didnt know wht was happening til dey explained.then shul called da parents 2 pick us up. was 9 yrs old when it happened n illl never forget it....Thank u all tht were der helpin n every 1 tht fought n dose still der protecting us, protecting our freedom R.I.P. every 1 who lost der life tht day n those who lost der lifes in war u didnt die in vain n u will always be in every 1s hearts and thoughts
I remeber I was 3 years on that day and was going to fly on a plane!! I remebr going home and turning on the T.V. and seeing that!!! I still cry to this day!! The sadest thing in our life times!! R.I.P those who died and have peace those who survived that fateful day!!
I was in kidnergarden and my teacher had the radio on. I herd what happened but i was so young i didnt understand, i thought it hit my school. But when we went home i realized what had happened, and was afraid becouse i thought i would get hit next. I didnt think any one was hurt but when i realized how many ppl died i was shocked, i still am, but its even worst when you relize that in other countries this kind of thing happens yearly.
I remeber waking up in my parents bed and saw them all standing around the TV in the room. I hated it when my brother keept wanting to watch the towers fall over and over again. I was so scared for years I had nightmares about that day.
i love this song, i remeber i was in first grade and i walked in my mom's room i remeber seeing her crying. and i look at the tv seeing the replay of the plane crashing into the towers. rip for all the ones who lost their lives on 9.11.01 <3
i remember this day as if it were yesterday...it was such a beautiful day...we were taking a test...i was in 3rd grade...they wouldnt tell us what was going on...my mom had to tell me, although i didnt understand much i remember that anytime we would talk about the war there was always the question, why did they attack
this song is really sad but i was in kindergarden and i had just come home from school and my mom was in her room and so i grabbed some cookies and milk and when she came out she turned on the news and explained wht was happening and my dad called his work to see if they needed help and if so he would be willing to go however he never went
well i wasn't born and my sister was 4 my mom was sitting on the bed watching it live and she said that well it was horrible and now i see how! i am so crying right now
well i was seven when it happened and well hard to say i lost my 21 year old brother he was in the 1st plane i am now 16 and i cant even remember the last time i talked to anybody i play violin and standing there was a real shock i stood there just cursing i didnt go to school for weeks but finally i faced my fears and i am now in the army academy and just always remeber you have family u should appricieate that go give your mom a hug and be proud of the usa
wow. i was only 5 years old when 9/11 happened. now I'm 13. i remember watching the news with my mom and sister. i got a pen and a bunch of paper and started drawing what i saw on the news. i still have the drawings.
i was there it was my 24 b-day i was gettin ready to leave 10 house on liberty street in nyc i was jst a firefighter then but now iam a LT. my cousin was Sean P Tallon he died savin ppls lives RIP Sean P Tallan love ya cuz
