How are Salmon going to escape from a fish farm? We have loads here and i have never seen a problem with that. Corn has also been engineered so that it can grow in harsher climates. That in itself has saved MILLIONS from starving to death.

@edstar83 ...Yah. Too true :o( I do consider GMO foods in general. I avoid them as much that I only shop at a local organic food seller. It's a store called PCC, but I think it's only in Washington and just around 6 locations or something. Anyway, the other day, I asked one of their deli chefs if they used any GMO products and he told me sternly. "No" we have changed companies who have chosen to change their products on us, to avoid GMO's. We don't accept GMO companies." So that was good :o)

It's a bummer that the industries have gotten into Soy and Bananas, Tomatoes and too many other plant foods. When ever possible... I completely recommend to anyone who wishes to avoid them. to opt out of the large stores as Safeway and QFC and FredMeyer, Top Foods (those are in Wasington) and any other non Organic sellers and opt into paying a li'l more for supporting Organic health stores.

In our state we have asian carp heading for Lake Michigan ready to devour all the goodies there. Asian carp get big. The lake has been overrun by invasive species already. Sea lampreys, zebra muscles, quagga muscles, and then asian carp. The courts are fighting this one out as well.
