  • I no longer have this car, but I love the e30. I want another super clean one. The e30 is better than my current e90. As a BMW Fan I am worried for the brand in the coming years. The turbo 4 coming next year is fine, but Not with an increased price.

  • bro your car is a 1988, this is only the beginning of problems.

  • @BlackAstonMartin LOL so negative.... yea mayybe but these car fixed up nice are more fun then almost any new car of 2011... And who cares its just a starter fix it your goodddd

  • mine sounds worse then yours

  • Ever figure it out ??? :)

  • check your serpentine belt or your fan belt sounds like something squeals at the end when you turn it off somethings got to be replaced its a belt or a bearing might need some lube buddy

  • @gambitsmooth NO... simple as that.

  • starter is improperly shimmed and is not disengaugeing from the flywheel when ignition is turned. go to bmw dealership and buy a ten dollar pack of shims...

  • Its your starter dude

  • I would guess the starter is wear out & flywheel. was that a standard car or automatic?

  • probobly need a new johnson rod. my buddy had the same problem theyre pretty easy to replace takes like 20 minutes

  • dont be a cheap ass. get a new starter u mother fucker. its a bmw punk

  • dont be a cheap ass get a new starter

  • Starter 100%, take it out, take it apart, take all the old grease off, and regrease it with either synthetic grease or bearing grease and it should be good as new.

  • why do all these american 325's i see on youtube have that horrible beeping sound when you turn the key on iv never heard a uk spec one or a german one do that must be an american addition and an annoying one too id be cuttin the wires that run that beeper

  • The beeper is when you turn on your car w/out seatbelt on. If you belt yourself in first, you won't hear it :)

  • it could have been the teeth on the starter ring. They or the teeth on the pinion in the starter could be worn

  • whats the diffenece besides the spoiler and lip spoiler is there between this and a normal i?

  • i know its prob a lil late now,but before you go buyin a new starter check to see if its even tight, cause it obviously has the power to turn it over first time, might just be loose and jumpin around

  • what about the ring gear on the flywheel

  • yea thats your starter grinding against the flyweel

  • ur starter is screwed, if it was ur engine the noise would continue during it running.

  • you need a new starter !!

  • Thanks, I was afraid of that! guess better than a new engine.
