  • ok i'm just watching this in 2012 and i think its a fake... for one you couldn't get luck all the time with out takeing damage and the damage the Crystals do why is it so low?

  • @ShadowBacon10

Date has nothing to do with it and I don't know why you brought it up.

I didn't. I was nearly killed by the end. With the equips, only the Earth Crystal, Culex, and 1 attack from the Ice crystal can harm me due to elemental immunities. (Wind crystal has petal blast and the giant sleep bubble iIIRC, but it doesn't survive for long enough)

The equipment and the stats are in the beginning of the video to answer the 3rd part of your concern.

  • wow...this is actally incredible

  • If this is true then I bet it must've took you a much longer time to accomplish all of this then you would if you played it through normally. Especially against the first few bosses.

I'ma see if I can do this. (I might post a walkthrough if anyone else hasn't already)

  • WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU EQUIPPING!?!

  • @utubeGodiva

    Shown at the beginning. ;)

  • When I first fought Culex, I thought he was Immune to all damage until the crystals were beaten, so I always took them down first(I was like 7 at the time) and after I learned that was not the case, I still took them down first, by virtue of thinking "Yeah, I'd get ruined so fast if I didn't take down the crystals, too much damage, not enough Group Hugs from Peach"

Now when I see Culex Fights, I see stuff that would pass as God Hood back when I first played. mechakoto... you rock.

  • and geno level 8

  • lyer i saw bowser level 9

  • There needs to be more RPGs (other than the Mario ones) with battle systems that utilize timed inputs for optimal performance.

  • @MultiShadowKirby

So being a strong level is hacking/cheating/bad, but being a WEAK level is aswell?

  • i really love the quality of this video. As for you lvl, what gives?

  • i believe this is real but HOW did he get that far at that low level??? i mean its possible but if u were to skip enemies and only do required fights and get the accessories its unbelieveable! and bowser has the heal shell so hes already been to bowsers castle!

  • @UNIBROWC00L

Lucky Jewel at level 3 to intentionally lose the game when it's for exp.

Lucky Hammer in Seaside after that.

  • @UNIBROWC00L You do know why youtube included the description. Clairifacation.

  • I'm very impressed at your approach for this battle. c: Smrpg is one of my favorite games.

  • hacked you would be dead if that really happened

  • @MultiShadowkirby

    If what really happened?

  • @mecakoto Peach would have been the better choice :) just saying.

  • @MultiShadowkirby It's not a hack so stfu

  • hacked

  • @pizza15x How so?

  • @mecakoto because there is NO way you can be that far at only level 6,have those items, attack culex before he starts saying "i am matter i am antimatter"etc. (and before he has his crystals out),do that much damage at THAT level, not take much damage, him miss 90% of the time and be that far without doing the story just to me it's nonbelievable

  • @pizza15x

Culex has a speed of 50. Mario has a speed of 80. (Super Suit and the Attack scarf give 60, with his base speed being 80.) Mario is faster, so he goes first.

I did a level 3 run up until I could get the necessary items. It's possible to beat the game at level 3. I got to level 6 for Super Jump, which netted me the suit and scarf.

Most of a character's stats are determined by items end game. This means that, at level 30, Mario would only be doing around 300 more damage.

  • @pizza15x part 2

Jump has a power modifier that increases by one every 3 uses, up to 255 times. I used it a lot for my level 3 run for early game damage.

Geno had the lazy shell, which would make a level 1 character near-invincible and take minor damage. Mario's Suit + Scarf nearly equals the Shell's defenses, and Bower was a tank for his level to begin with, but still can't compare.

I did do the story. I was forced to for Bowser's armor and weapons.

  • @pizza15x Part 3

As for missing, it's real time luck manipulation over dozens upon dozens of attempts.

Of course, this is all in the video description. People really need to stop skipping over it.

  • @mecakoto and you somehow managed to stay level 6 while doing the story. how so?

  • @pizza15x

Lucky Jewel can be gotten at level 3 in Moleville, after you get the star. Getting there at level 3 means you avoided all unnecessary fights up to that point. You use it and intentionally lose the game to avoid exp from the rest of the mandatory fights up until you get the star in Seaside town. The weapon shop owner there sells a hammer for 123 coins. The hammer has the effect that, if you time it to get another hit, you play lucky again. Repeat to beat the game at 3.

  • @mecakoto how can you intentionally lose you have a 33.33% of getting a tie(lose nothing gain nothing)a loss(lose either coins or exp)or a right(double exp or coins gained from battle)?

  • @pizza15x

It's simple. If you don't lose the exp, you reset the game. Or you record and watch it in slow motion. I chose the former for all except getting Bowser and Geno's weapons.

  • @kingarthr10

Street Fighter players would like to have a word with you. ;3

  • Do you have a walkthrough of going through the whole game so well?

  • @bluewulv I plan to make one once I get a computer that can allow for a high quality output.

  • @mecakoto I hope you get that computer soon. I wanna learn from a master. *bows in respect*

  • CULEX FOR PAPER MARIO 3DS

  • Comment removed

  • Cheating!

  • @maxscearce Just shut the front door and watch both parts! God retard.

  • How the heck you can miss /zero all time?

  • @ninja3238

The video description is your friend. ^^

  • @ninja3238 cheat codes/hacks

  • @NintendoEpic

Read the video description. It really isn't hard to understand.

  • @mecakoto Hahahahaha...I see.Thx dude

  • @mecakoto this video is so awesome I wish i could even play this game

  • @chuggasbiggestfan Nope. With the most perfect timing you can make attacks do 0 damage or even miss.

  • Well you can beat this bastard at lvl 1 with the lazy shell.

  • @badboyash00

I assure you it is not. It wouldn't even be hard to prove. You'd just need to recreate everything as was done in the video. After that, everything would be the same, including the many attempts required to complete it.

  • Not hard at all considering the items you are using. Try to beat Culex at lvl 20 or less (when you reach Monstruo Town for the first time) with the items you have got there (pre Bean Valley).

This video just shows how overpowered end-game items are.

  • @baelr0g

I can do that. Give me a few days.

  • @baelr0g

    i understand what you mean because if you fight culex right before smithy it will be useless, but if you fight him before bean valley it will be helpful. i beat him on my 5th try XD;

  • IS THIS A HACK!!!???

  • @valleyofneptune

    No. No it is not.

  • I have a question!

To get the star egg you need to win 100 times right? so if you lose once, do you go back to 0? or do you get subtracted by 1?

  • @totodileeater

Nope. Losses don't do anything. You just need to win 100 times in total.

  • @mecakoto :O sweet!

  • how does it do 0 damage?

  • @MySupermario101

    3) Why does no one take damage from most attacks?

Safety ring, Super Suit, and Lazy Shell all have secondary effects of preventing instant death attacks and Elemental attacks. The Red crystal uses only elemental attacks; the Green and Blue Crystals usually only use Elemental attacks, and the Earth Crystal uses none.

    -----------------------

    From the video description.

  • How do U get the attack scarf/heal shell? Nice run. This makes u a GOD!

  • @StarrodKirby100

Do 30 Super Jumps in a row, then talk to the Chow in Monstro Town for the former. For the latter, you just need to talk to Croco in the left-most room after you fight Magikoopa.

  • Duh it was hacked, he hacked so that he never levelled up much.

  • @ShadooTheHedgehog

It's possible to beat the game at level 3, 3 lower then in this video.

  • THE HAKX

  • this was totally hacked!

  • @7y7V4Ppp why? because you can't do it?

  • @totodileeater well ya i wouldn't be able to do this but consider this: you can't fight Culex until close to the end of the game which means that you would have to fight like 5 bosses and 6 mini-bosses... all at level 6? i don't think so. and even still how would you be at only level 6? even if you could beat those bosses at such a low level the experience that you would get from them would put you up to like level 12 and not 6

  • @7y7V4Ppp

    From the video description:

    7) How did you manage level 6?

A lot of planning and the Lucky Jewel/Hammer.

The Lucky Jewel can be bought from the guy in Moleville. It can be used around 10 times before it is lost. You can get it at level 3 and can use it to fail the lucky game, thus staying at level 3. After the Yaridovich battle, you can get the "hammer" from the weapon shop owner in Seaside. Hit the timing with it triggers lucky after battle. That is how one stays at a low level.

  • @totodileeater Just how he said it.

  • @totodileeater why don't you try to explain to me why you wouldn't die from just one hit then?

  • @7y7V4Ppp

I did it for him under this.

  • @7y7V4Ppp why don't you try to explain then how you wouldn't die on the first hit?

  • ese a culex no se le mata asi eso es un hack

  • @deatstars

Por favor, lea la descripción del vídeo. Esto no es un truco.

  • seems kind of dumb

of course you don't need items if you use states in order to get "misses"

  • i know you didnt hack but it looks so much like it! great video

  • how did you attack culex before he talked?

  • @superdragonyoshi1

Culex has a speed of... 50, if I remember right. Mario's speed was higher, so he got the first action of the battle. Culex's first action is always to say that.

  • Wow, this was very impressive im not gonna lie your the better mario player, you win XD This is probably the best Mario player ive seen in awhile because all my friends whof ought culex couldnt beat him at level 20!

  • awesome graphics!

  • u hacked o .o

  • @ichipsXD No, he didn't.

  • u already got the 2 lazy shells?

  • Your so fast you went faster than the text box! =0

  • My record for super jumps on the console was 78...

  • If you can make it past 16, you can make it to 100. The timing doesn't get any more strick after jump 16, and, if you can hold out to 78, 100 is just a little bit further. XD

  • @mecakoto That was the only time I made it past 30, and that was after hundreds of attempts. I just don't have the patience to keep trying I guess.

  • if this is u playing then UR AWESOME

  • Read the description before posting comments

  • isnt this a ff3 or ff4 boss? i recognise the music.

  • Culex was never in a FF game. He was made for SMRPG by Square. The Music is from FF4, though. It is a bit remixed, but it is the same at its base.

  • @Chuggaconroyfan99 nah chuggaa said its the final boss theme from ff4.

  • what made you so strong

  • how do u even get ultimate weapons @ level 6... o.O;

  • Geno vs Culex = apocalypse of awesome

  • ff8 music :)

  • Culex is realy easy if you have lazy shell, attack scarf and super suit.

  • where do you find the super suit???

  • @unaniem909 Do 100 Super Jumps in a row. After that, go talk to the Chow in Monstro Town.

  • god... i record is 15... i just don't know how to do so much super jumps...

  • i did it on my first visit to monsrto town at lv 20. i used all of my red essences and 3 of my kero kero kolas

  • Wow...to think my brother used to forbid me from even thinking about this boss unless I was level 25 or above. And then you go and blow my mind with this. Kudos to you and your skill! ^^

  • zero damage at level 6?!

  • It's all explained in the video description.

  • How can you take zero damage at level 6?

  • 3) Why does no one take damage from most attacks?

Safety ring, Super Suit, and Lazy Shell all have secondary effects of preventing instant death attacks and Elemental attacks. The Red crystal uses only elemental attacks; the Green and Blue Crystals usually only use Elemental attacks, and the Earth Crystal uses none.

    --------------------

    From the video description.

  • HOW THE HELL!?

  • why were you able to attack culex before he brought out the crystals and made his speech about matter and antimatter at the beginning mabye you are hacking

  • Culex's Speed in SMRPG is 50. Mario's speed in this video is 80. Because of this, Mario is able to attack before he says anything.

  • ok so thats what speed is for

  • somebody spent waaaaaay too much time earning all the details of this game to get all the little ins and outs just right to get to this point lol. props

  • Wow just amazing but how could you go that far in the game and only get Mario to lvl 6. And what's the secret to get 100 jumps for the super suit. But I gotta give you props on this battle

  • You avoid any and all unnecessary battles until you get the Lucky Jewel. You then purposely fail the lucky game to get no EXP in any battles. Once you get to Seaside town, you buy the Hammer. Seaside Town's hammer acts as a lucky jewel when Mario uses it and gets the timing down. You then continue getting no EXP in any of the battles from then on.

For the 100 Jumps, you just need to get the timing down. The window for getting it right gets extremely tight after 16 jumps. Just keep practicing.

  • ok i dont have this game prob gettin it on meh wii soon but every1 bitches this boss is so hard and you beat him at lvl 6 thats just crazy...

  • Why do you think I'm a hacker?

  • Because your level 6 and take 0 damage

and do a lot of damage in returm

  • The Damage is explained in the video description and doing a lot of damage is easy when you have the best equipment in the game. It's why I show the stats before the fight.

  • how do u get that attack in at the start

  • Your speed needs to be higher then Culex's. Mario's is 80 if I remember right, and that is more then enough.

  • isthis guy from final fantasy?

  • Na, but he is based off of a generic Final Fantasy Boss. Probably Square's little "signature" on the game. =p

  • the music is also the boss music from final fantasy 4. lulz

  • how do you do 400 damage with jump??

  • That crystal is weak to jump.

  • hold on, i heard the action command sound during shredder. did you actually block it?

  • Ok, i read your description, and i just wanna make sure i understand right. You used the lucky jewel to get the exp mini game, and failed purposely?

  • Yes. That is right.

  • I stand partially corrected..........

  • You basically did at an average team level of 8.

    6(Mario) + 8(Geno) =14 / 2 = 7 +9(Bowser)= 16 / 2 = 8!

    / =divide.Simple.

  • In RPG low level challenge runs the level of the first character you gain control of is usually the one who's level you go by when submitting runs mainly because they are the ones who gain the most exp throughout the game.

Another example would be a level 7 run-through of Final Fantasy 8 because the main character is level 7 and you can go through the entire game without gaining exp, despite the fact that 4 minutes into the game you get a second character that's level 8.

    1 last thing...

  • 500 character limit.

Not to embarrass you or make you look bad, but little things like this in math tend to bug me. =p (No one down-rate him/her for this)

You need to go by the order of operations. It would be this to find averages:

    [ 6 (Mario) + 8 (Geno) + 9 (Bowser) ] / 3 = [ 23] / 3 = 7.66 repeating.

Again, not to embarrass you, insult you, etc. It's just a pet peeve if mine, such as Grammar with some people. Me:Math::Some other People:Grammar.

    =p

  • Algebra says you'd do the math like such:

    (6+8+9)/3

    The resulting level is 7.66...

  • whats the rare scarf?

  • It's an item you get for doing 30 Super Jumps in a row. Once you've done that you can go to a Chow in Monstro Town to receive it.

  • ya, i thought that was the attack scarf....

  • I'm sorry. That's what I get for making a comment at 3 in the Morning. =p

The Rare Scarf is gotten if you take the alternative route on your way to Nimbus Way. The Bean Stock climbing part. You first have a bridge to go on one to the right which is easy to reach and one on the left which isn't. You get it by going to the left path.

  • didnt even know u can go all the way with the left path =o

  • Huh? I didn't do that i just found a rare scarf on the ground somewhere in lands end or booster pass.

  • what dud u use to beat this guy if there where no hacks???

  • The video Description is your friend.

  • on ur way up to the clouds, there is another path you can take to get to the castle. that path has the rare scarf and two flowers i believe

  • truth is, when i fought culex,i didnt have the lazy shell armor cause i sold it. why? well before i thought it was useless, but when i start my next side, im gonna keep it. also i was extremely over lvled so that would be a good idea to get everyone to lvl 30 so that it would be a lot easier :D just saying

  • hey im lvl 8 and i have 3 star pieces but i havent gotten peach/bowser in my party yet..this is my first time playing so is this normal or i did something wrong...and damn nice pwnage

  • It's around what I'm at when I play through the game for fun, so you're doing fine I'd say. =p

  • @PeanutChickenTuna your correct you cant skip the party members since you get them in required cutscenes

  • he gave mario and geno lazy shells and he had the best equips in the whole game

  • Mario didn't have the Lazy Shell. He had the Super Suit. =p

  • How did you do that my Rom freezes after you fight johnny and get the star pice

  • I used a different emulator to get past that part. Specifically version 1.41 of the emulator that you are using.

Also, the emulator you use will freeze whenever Breaker Beam is used in battle by an opponent.

  • he meant that you gave mario the weapon and geno the armor :P

  • Doesn't Geno need to level up pretty far to be able to use some spells? How do you get them early?

  • Geno only knows 2 spells: Geno Beam and Geno Boost.

He learns Geno Boost at level 8, which is the level he is at in this video.

  • how is mario having 80 speed? That seems impossible (but you just did it. I really don't think the armor + accessory can be that much)

  • Base 20 Speed + Attack Scarf Speed of 30 + Suit's Speed of 30 = 80 Speed.

  • O_O

(Wow. That's alot. Can you put a tutorial on how to get these items? It's difficult.)

  • Do Super Jump 30 times in a row and talk to the Chow next door to Culex for the Scarf. Do it 100 times for the Suit.

No tutorial can really help. It is just a matter of timing the jumps to get 100 in a row. It just takes time and practice.

  • 1est enimy turn when they did nothing at your guys i thought you were hacking big time

  • Comment removed

  • I'm curious as to why you had Mario attack most of the time, while the others just defended (or in Geno's case, supported Mario). I mean.. you had Bowser attack the Earth Crystal, why not keep going?

  • It was all for luck manipulation. After the number of runs I did, I found that I can manipulate, to an extent, what the Crystals did if I attacked or defended.

Some people consider me insane for taking the time to actively luck manipulate live, but I'm fine with that. =p

  • ok....

  • HOW?!?

  • What exactly does the Lucky Hammer do?

  • If you get a timed hit with it, it counts as a lucky. You activate the lucky game after the battle with it, in other words.

  • Howd u do that i had to get to level 18 to beat him

  • It was basically my knowledge of how the game works and a bit of luck.

  • Even level 18 is low for Culex!

  • How did you get the lucky shell before going into the cloud-based area.

  • It's the Hammer. =p

It is just called "Hammer," but is sold in the Seaside weapon shop. It is at the bottom of the list of items you can buy.

  • LOL. I meant Lazy*
