What brand of paints did you use for the outer frame? What were the names of the colors? Would the weathering look as good without painting the outer frame?
talking about your future technique in the inner frames, have you try using as you say the silver color and then use the color x-19 from tamiya (smoke) ????
omg dude if you carved out like a half circle on the red side waist thing to look like a beam saber was stabbing towards the 00's cockpit but missed that would have been so amazing but i have to say thats one good looking model
Hi Vegeta I had a quick and important question. For the inner frames that you painted, did you basically paint ALL of the black tree pieces silver/metallic black? Because I'm about to spray paint mine and I was wondering if I should just paint all the black pieces anyway since you said you painted the inner frames, but not all the black trees/pieces say "PG frame" at the top.
battle damaging a model like this must take some though consider its price tag. I am still not sure what to do with mine solely because I dont want to ruin it. Im thinkin about a color scheme of like a Wing Zero version mainly because i want to add more veriety to it.
cool effects but the shield bits are majorly overdone with the animal "claw like" slashes . If you were going to do that then you would have been better having the slashes across both shield bits so when you put them together you can see the full battle scar
I am new at customizing so this is going to be a stupid question, but how do you do the scuff marks on like the katars and the knees and elbows and such. did you sand them with the drimmal or some other way.
hey idk if anybody has told u this or uve tried it alrdy but maybe if u add a little bit of brown like a light and dark brown to the white then use the silver....then after that u cud add little dabs of the light brown...to add layers/depth....idk just a suggestion...
=\ Im not really diggin the battle damaged theme. Reminds me of when I used to drag my toys on concrete. But you really did a good job recreating battle scars
Your weathering is some of the best I've ever seen, even on gunpla forums. Can't wait for the review, btw you should totally do a weathering tutorial some time!
sir, this is amazing! the weathering really gives this model a real life feel. as 4 the white, my advice is 2 use a very fine brush n apply nearly black gray to the edges, then put silver on top, it gives more contrast. have a look in my blog 2 see what I'm talking. anyway, can't wait 2 finally see a good review on this model!
it looks really nice, but when I first looked at it, I noticed that the head was not as weathered as the rest of the body. Maybe do some more weathering on the head and face? I think it'll help more, but it could just be the camera quality interfering with what I'm seeing.
man that thing looks trashed...........looking good man. I like to do weather on my MG kits, but wow doing it on a PG kit would be a lot of work. Well done sir
I definitely dig this more than your original concept, even if its not a custom scheme. The battle damage looks very good, can't wait to see pictures! I can hardly finish painting a MG, it's amazing you can put up with this big guy. Very cool project!
@vegeta8259 well no that you had time to get hte colour again, i was wondering what is your trick for getting the inner frame that colour cause in the vid you said you werent really sure i was just wondering if you figureed out how to reproduce it again.
that is just fucking amazing 5/5 for the effort bro the kit is coming out great loving the colours scehem and especially the battle damage well done :) 5/5
i wish ypu kept the first color sceem but whatever i know why you did it i reed your blog anyways i normaly dont like heavy batle damage but i like this(you dont consider this heavy but i do)
and one more this
YOU LEAV YOUR PARTS OUTSIDE O.O
i would never do that to afraid it would get lost in the wind or fall over and fall down. anyways looks great cant w8 to see it finished
mm i guess if u like that finish just use a silver as a primer then go over in that black!
