You completely miss the point. Just because you can now copy something original that was done half a century ago (Abstract Expressionism, Pop art, Minimalism, etc.), doesn't mean you could have or would have been creative enough to come up with the idea during the 40s, 50s or 60s. I can also copy a Michelangelo, does that make him any less important in the history of Renaissance art to you?

your average person wouldnt do that because they'd believe that the world would be taken in by something so rediculous. but lucky andy he caught the world when it happened to be in its retarded phase and cashed in, but he's not the first to do that, jim cameron cashed in too with titanic which i still consider to be one the worst movies ever made.

Your overemphasizing the importance of the copy. I can safely state Warhol was not a creative person, because all he did was copy the mass consumerist illusion. Illusion.

Like abstract art, it is essentially meaningless. To truly fit everyone's taste, it has to be meaningless and has to appear so much it has overridden your own taste.

No warhol, then no tracey emin, no hypes. I's like to see some elitism in the artworld. Nietszche is right, God is dead, zeitgeist is ruled by money.
