I was more annoyed that he was supposed to be incredibly strong, yet took a while to defeat say 5 enemies, even in a flawless combo, yet Sonic can just run through them like they're nothing.

And the inability to freely move camera while on pipes was pretty infuriating too.

@JaxtheKitsune Two reasons: loz did it first, it was actually original. Then there's the fact that the nighttime levels in Sonic Unleashed were just too much of a departure from the normal gameplay (which is sad since for the first time in maybe 8 years the normal gameplay was good). It just felt awkward to play and nothing like a Sonic game. I mean the Twilight levels in LOZ just had a few altered mechanics and the wolf form eventually became an equipable item.

Sonic is a GO FAST game ( It has its own Genre) Zelda did something new, but didn't stray from the basic formula, while Sonic went to far and didn't give people what Sonic is supposed to be about. Going so fast you can't even see what's gonna happen next.

The HD version of this game was really great. The Hedgehog Engine shows real potential. It was a fun game and very much enjoyed the story and Chip especially as the comic relief. I Platinum'd this on PS3 and got 1000/1000 on 360. Yeah, I enjoyed it very much. And the Werehog stages were hardly that bad.

@Hyperspine I kindly disagree. In my personal opinion, this game proved to be thoroughly enjoyable for its entire length. The speed was very constant and well played out, along with very nice level designs. While the night stages weren't as good as daytime, I still found them to be very entertaining beat 'em up levels. On an additional note, the music was also incredibly phenomenal (as per usual with Sonic). I found this game to be a rather nice step in Sonic games.

@10samm10 Hmm let's see, if u look up most of the review videos on YouTube I'd say about 70% of the comments disagree with the IGN and Irate reviews. Same goes for other unleashed videos. This game kicked ass for both Xbox/ps3 and for the Wii. Very creative stages, nice platforming for the werehog, beautiful music, cool bosses. Great final boss, sonic was faster than ever.

Press jump a few times to do homing attacks, no actual platforming, all stages are basically the same except for different setting, Werehog camera is HORRIBLE, its never where its supposed to be and always results in massive frustration (Wii werehog was better though) werehog had no feeling of friction making the combat more like a chore rather than something satisfying, ...

@VansOffDehWall Eggmanland is one of the worst levels every created for a Sonic game, the HUB and the whole talking to people bullshit was just annoying and finally there was no spin dash. I agree the graphics and the music were top quality and the bosses (at least for Sonic) were memorable, but these were also true for Sonic 06, and you know how that turned out. By all means, SU was flawed in so many ways its falls well below average. Sonic Colors however, was a top quality product.
