War is war we went in searching for these items and people. We could not have known at the time that noone was making Weapons of Mass Destruction in there or not. IM not supporting the war but whats done is done They attacked us we didnt start the war. WHen we ahve an attack on American soil thats when we will go to and hunt down the enemy that did it to us. Even though we didnt find them yet it is all working up to it. But it is costing us ALOT of money
@ParanormalDemonology Our actions over seas cause the attacks that come to us. How difficult is that to understand? I am an American I dont like blaming my own land but the truth is truth.
@Jononutoob One attack from out of the country in 40 years was 911. There has never been a war fought on american soil since the creation of the country that was from another country. So "Attacks that come to us" What attacks? 911 wasn't from another country it was from a group. So technically No other country has attacked us since Pearl Harbor
@ParanormalDemonology After we overthrew the Shah of Iran they took our hostages. After we left Afghanistan in the 80s and left those people for themselves they got angry. After we invaded Iraq "insurgents" showed up. 1st WTC attack in the 90s. USS Cole, numerous embassies over seas, and much more. You are acting like 911 was the first time we got hit. Research American foreign policy and you should understand why people hate American government.
@Jononutoob "Over Seas" Sorry 911 wasn't "Over Seas" It was on American soil hence me saying "American Soil. 911 is a commonly used term for all 3 attacks (2 trade centers and the basement bomber). We invaded iraq after the first attack HENSE we didn't start the war they brought it to them. ANd what do you know they didn't get to far.
@ParanormalDemonology So if 10 Americans die on American soil how is it different than 10 people dying on foreign soil? I dont understand your point. I dont understand any of the logic you are using. The first invasion of Iraq has nothing to do with the first WTC attack. Iraq wasnt behind any of them, that is the point here. Those who have attacked us do so because they are mad, they are mad because we took advantage of their lands. I still dont fully understand your comment.
@Jononutoob Iraq wasn't i wouldn't blame civilians. But i some of the civilians DO go to alkida. THe first thing i brought up was that 911 was an attack on American soil that is why the war was called to Alkida and Sudam. Yet we stayed in iraq and now we are in afgan. We have such great technology but we can't find a group of murderers we do know that some are hiding in the hills of Pakistan.
Sad to see a republican candidate speak the truth and give honest answers. He goes against the current administration(bush) and wants to leave Iraq and the other candidates bash him and treat Ron Paul unfair. Not allowing him to part take in all debates and making it difficult for him to continue campaigning. He's the maverick in their party.

Could you honestly not catch the sarcasm? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and never had weapons of mass destruction. The War in Iraq is a war for oil, and extremely conservative Army generals have even said so.
well i dont care ok i love this country and the freedoms ok motherfucker i dont care why we went to iraq the iraqis killed over 3000 of our troops and the day i turn 18 im joining the us army following in my dads footsteps
We provoked them? You don't know what you're talking about. Violence is never the answer, if you haven't figured that out yet. Us trying to kill them makes us just as bad.
Exactly, it's our fault. We just got kicked in the ass by karma. Killing innocent civilians=killed troops. Fair, no. Reality, yes. That's why war is dumb; nobody wins.
yes but we still need war right like we should still be in afghanistan like we are plus world war 2 and world war 1 our involvment in those wars was crucial

who do you mean they. a "terrorist organization' attacked our country. they have no known polotical ties to any country in the middle east or anywhere.
Even if Iraq wasn't involved with 9/11 there were hundreds of terrorists behind the planning of 9/11 and thats what we went there to do bring justice for the people who died on that day. But Iraq had to get involved. It's not our fault its theres.

Okay so just because we go there and try to tell them how they should run they should live and telling them what to do meens they can come here and kill 10's of thousands of people. If someone came into your house and told you how to cook your food and diciplin your childeren would that give you the right to go fly a plain into the white house or a school full of kids? Ron Paul is an asshole. We did not start the war. It resulted from a long process where a "defeated" aggressor that had invaded Kuwait 12 yrs earlier, did not abide by the conditions of the cease fire/treaty. Would we not have done the same if Germany or Japan tried to violate the surrender conditions in WII?
andyKCIUK, what do you base your "intelligent" comment on? He did not have his opinons straight.I know the war is problematic, and no WMD found (although could have been hidden or Saddams bluff to keep Iran off his back), but have you not heard of the first gulf war, Saddam's invasion of Kuwait, us stopping before we killed all his troops with an agreement signed in the desert? I don't know if I fully agree with the war now, but it is not like we just randomly invaded a country.
The problem is we went under UN resolutions, which undermines US sovereignty & our Constitution. If we are going to go to war, fine IF it is done in a Constitutional manner. The troops defend the US Constitution -- not the UN, unless you want to move toward a 1 world government.
oath excerpt:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the US against all enemies, foreign and domestic..."
Iraq used to be allies of America! They armed them so they could invade Iran! Then they used the weapons to invade Kuwait (of course they would Saddam is a madman!) Who goes round arming dangerous dictators with dangerous weapons for their own selfish gain? AMERICA!
Then who turns on them when they feel like? AMERICA!
Who used WMD's in the invasion of Iraq in order to 'get rid of Saddam and his WMD's' (even though they were American and British WMD's?) AMERICA DID! They use weapons that are against the geneva convention, ie depleted uranium that causes genetic mutation resulting in birth defects. Who doesn't care? AMERICA! Anyone who STILL supports the war right now, is a stain on the face of the Earth.
Nice job saying have him parachute into iraq... i seriously doubt you served in the military so please refrain from speaking about something you know nothing of.
AMERICA HAS WMD'S! Does that give Iran, a country that is constantly threatened by America, the right to invade them?
What about N. Korea, who have nuclear missiles, and actively asserted their right to pre-emptively strike America? America won't do anything about them, because they could actually be a real problem for America... they can FIGHT BACK! America only invades countries who can't fight back, they knew there were no WMD's!Hamead you IDIOT! YOU IDIOT! SHAME ON YOU, FACIST PIG! I laugh
What's the matter sdqike, can't take or perhaps even understand a little logic. any damn time you feel man enough and live close enough to meet me, come ahead dickwad.
I dont know where you heard that story about how we got into Iraq but you certainly fell for it. It has nothing to do with Iraq violating of a cease fire agreement or whatever. We went in there under the pretense of 'searching weapons of mass destruction' and for the terrorist group alqaeda. The true reason we are there and any marine will tell you is for securing our interests such as oil. Bush will tell you Iraq had nothing to do with 911 which was the main reason we got suckered in there for.
securing oil! you got to be fuckin kidding me! yeah that has really been proven by the huge treasure and surplus we'eve gained from the war. There has baely been enough payback from oil for the Iraqi people due to the damn terrorists groups. I merely said that his violating the cease fire rules after the first Gulf War would have been enough justification for going in. To hell with the wmd argument.
Of course the price of oil went up, because it costs money to go to war and occupy. Its not like we're just pirating. We are securing interest. Your sentence on payback to iraqis I didnt get and Sadam didnt violate any cease fire rules after 9/11. Ive yet to hear any sort of claims (besides your claim) or evidence of that what so ever. Only excuse I know of, of going into Iraq is WMD's and Terrorism threats relating to 9/11 which were refuted later on.
Seiku, I am referrring to Sadaams violation of the cease fire after the first Gulf War in 1991, you know, the one where he invaded his neighbor, Kuwait and then Saudi Arabia during the war. I did not say cease fire rules after 9-11. Yes the damn wmd was not totally shown, but maybe it was just bad intelligence or maybe he had 12 years to dispose/hide it, where he ignored U.N. resolutions.
Thats is exactly who got us into the wars before, the UN. I don't think its in our best interest to lose American lives for the UN. Even though Sadam did invade Kuwait, its simply a boarder dispute. The reality is, this world will have wars between nations like always has in its history. I dont think its our right to interfere to try to preserve how things are today. Basicly we shouldnt 'Police the World'. Also I dont think Sadam would have invaded if we didnt support him in the first place.
So true. America invaded Iraq using the very things that is was supposed to disarm that country of WMD's and that it said they shouldn't have, yet America used weapons of mass destruction to get rid of another country's supposed weapons of mass destruction based entirely on allegations that were transformed into actual evidence.
