just another question. where did you get the Rear view mirror? its a 2nd gen correct. also how easy was it to fit the Head unit into the Mk VIii? thanks, looking to put one in mine.

@paintballkiller54 The rear view mirror I got from Cadillac Devilles(Junk Yard) since a gen 2 is hard to find and they don't have the compass. The wires will fit and work. If you have a straight one piece you won't have to modify the wire. If you have a two piece like i did you just have to cut the black piece into two pieces. It doesn't make sense right now but once you get a mirror you'll understand. It already had the headunit before but it should be fairly easy if you have a double din.

these things were AWSOME for their time,, and as a matter of fact,, i would love to own one now if it were in nice shape,,,, fast as fuck for a lincoln,,, smooth power, my buddy ran 15.1 back in the day with a stock one with passengers

@IRONSEAN7 Yeah they were good cars. Fastest time stock I think was a 14.6. They are very easy to modify since Mustang Cobra stole the motor off the Mark VIII. Fastest time for a Mark VIII with the same motor and transmission, street driving with all the interior is a 10.6 which, if you know about cars, is damn quick.

@93mkviii Yup, that is BurbankLSC. He runs a bored out 4.6 with lots of boost if I recall correctly.  :-)

@MrHotrodlincoln Yeah, I just didn't think he'd know his name. Him and his brother, 95sc if I remember correctly, ran a very close 10.67 and 10.68. Both have great cars and still plan on doing more.

did you swap the whole dash or just the center console to fit the 2 din headunit in? did you have to modify it to fit at all?

@andyass3 The whole dash. But I'm pretty sure you can modify the 93 and 94 dash to become a double din but I'm unsure about it so do it at your own risk.

where did you find that lincoln nav system?

@BIGGESTPOLISHMAN It's actually a AVIC-D1 unit but it is modified to show LINCOLN during start up instead of pioneer. If you want to know how to do that just let me know.
