Marco's was a good leader and he made a lot of changes in the Philippines he was an achiever so was Ninoy although in the end was his intentions really good? This led to a lot of violence in the Philippines. If we are speaking Economy wise, I could safely say that our economy at that time is a lot better than today's. I mean other countries used to borrow money from us and we use to invest on a lot of market. Our agriculture was also on the upside, mainly because we were the main source of Rice and other grain crops.
Another example, Marcos' martial law had positive effects on the nation up until his last few years in office. It kept the nation stabilize against muslim radicals and communist rebels. Marco's was a good leader and he made a lot of changes in the Philippines he was an achiever so was Ninoy although in the end was his intentions really good? This led to a lot of violence in the Philippines. Ninoy might have given the title of a hero (and yes maybe there are things about him we dont know of that's bad) and Marco's as the evil one but think of all the REAL things they've done for us filipinos. 1.) ninoy and his family wanted to extend their stay in US but the visa wasnt renewed( C.I.A intervention?)
2.)marcos had 1,000 combined police and army to guard ninoys arrival (possibly because he knew that there was a threat against ninoys life,and if something happens to ninoy marcos knew that people will point at him that could start a revolt)

I don't know why so many Filipinos hate our late President Marcos... I am a Filipino and I admit that I wasn't born yet when this happened. All I know is this, Marcos was a great president. He was a nice man, though I believe that he tortured and killed many people. Why did I say that he was nice? Simple. Because when the Filipino went to EDSA for the People Power, he can just simply call his troops and tell them to kill all those people, but he didn't make that move.

Another fact that you might not know is that Ninoy Aquino was a "communist fanatic" and he even let some rebels to stay at the Infamous "Hacienda Luisita"
If we are speaking Economy wise, I could safely say that our economy at that time is a lot better than today's. I mean other countries used to borrow money from us and we use to invest on a lot of market. Our agriculture was also on the upside, mainly because we were the main source of Rice and other grain crops.

Another example, Marcos' martial law had positive effects on the nation up until his last few years in office. It kept the nation stabilize against muslim radicals and communist rebels. He also tried to gain the Island of Sabah back from Malaysian control because the island was De Facto ours (the British parliament was only loaning the land from us before they "gave" it to Malaysia).
