we need to get rid of this shit. los ricos se hacen más ricos y los pobres más pobres. el momento de deshacerse del capitalismo y el socialismo. el comunismo sería mejor, pero no volvería a trabajar en una escala masiva.
Americans can, and will, achieve freedom from capitalism and freedom from capitalist exploitation of workers and the natural world. It's absolutely necessary. And the Constitution says nothing about having to tolerate capitalism. Not a single word.
@beesleeper This is true, but the powers necessary for a government control of the means of production are definitly not granted by the constitution either.
capitalism problems could be solved with an ethics class. socialisms problems could be solved with the elimination of laziness . communism you could try the ethics class but you would wind up getting a midnight nock on your door. in conclusion which is the easiest to fix
as paul foot identified capitalism is not unique to althortarian regimes but an althoratarian regime is the ideal place for capitalism, to work so much more efficient and effectively
What was wrong with the "Robber Barron" capitalism? The era that made this country so wealthy and prosperous that we lived off of it for the next hundred years, what was so bad about it again. Oh yeah, I forgot, some people got rich by coming up with ways to make their product more affordable for everyone, those damn robber barrons
You've got to be kidding me. I go to your channel and there is not a single video concerning economics or finance, and you have the balls to tell me to do some research? How bout you do some research, you can start on my channel, where there are fifty videos concerning economics, finance, the great depression and the current crisis.
I love it when people say corporations are a great thing to democracy and they say corporations are privately owned and should and should not be owned by the government. To me corporations are like tumor growths to national democracy they spread and take controle of a system and establish their own rule. killing the concept of the country and they themselves become kings. If we are concerned about big government beconcerned about the ones that are not democratically elected
Because of your fucking capitalism 3 billion people on earth earn less than two dollars a day. Because of capitalism 1 billion children suffer through poverty. Because of your capitalism 80% of humanity lives on less than ten dollars a day. Because of your capitalism, hundreds of workers are being layed off each and every day. Because of your capitalism now 664,000 people suffer homelessness in the united states. Thanks to your capitalism 1,214,729,641 innocent people are now considered dead!!!
Because of Capitalism they earn any money at all. Take away those companies and they make zero dollars a day. Those people are not forced to work there, they choose to, because $2 a day is better than zero dollars a day.
Capitalism is an egalitarian economic ideology. The fact that national socialism (aka reaganomics) redefined it as 'survival of the fittest as dictated by protected business AKA corporations) simply illustrates that capitalism requires real work to defend.
Capitalism REQUIRES regulation to exist, it is not the lack of regulation as philip morris libertarians/corporate lobbyists proclaim. Only by eradicating corporate person-hood and confidence based economy can we again have capitalism...
Greed is always the same no matter what you call it.
If we make changes to capitalism to make others feel that a fairer policy is widely accepted, all the easier to make money!
There is no escape from it as the human speices survival instinct will always over ride and rule logical technicalities. People will always ultimatley do what is best for themselves or provides them with control over others.
It doesnt matter what you call it!
Those who adapt, profit.... It is the way of things.
Ugh, this guy doesn't have a clue. He thinks capitalism led to corporatism (or "business regulating congress")? Or is that a result of the massive centralization of power and money into the congress. With all that power and money is it any wonder why the flys show up?
Also does he wonder why the tragedy of the commons is the tragedy of the commons? Does he not realize that self-interest is what protects land, wildlife?
Undoubtedly. We are already seeing early signs of its imminent collapse. When the consumers can no longer afford to buy the products and services offered by capitalist enterprises, profits will suffer. In response, they will lay off workers. As company after company does this, eventually unemployment rates will reach astronomical levels... no jobs = no consumer spending... no consumer spending = no profits... no profits = bankruptcy for ALL private enterprises. Self-imposed death by greed.
Capitalism breeds corporatism and privatization. Both the private sector (Enron) and the public sector (FEMA) can fail. Unfortunately, we can't vote it or out CEOs or boards of directors which is why corporations are our presidents. Socialism is not communism. Universal health care everyone is asking for is classic socialism. Netherlands-Socialist Democracy... China Socialist Communism.
China is not socialist. It uses the name Communist Party of China to retain authoratarian power over the country politically. However, the socialist aspects in China are lacking, there is no universal health care and there is not a social welfare infrastructure like you see in Sweden. Since the 90s China has thrown away socialism in favor of market economics, which is swiftly leading to corporate capitalism, but is strictly watched over by the CPC. But corruption is too common! Money Talks!
China and the former soviet bloc are state run capitalist dictatorships. The workers remain wage slaves selling their labour power to the state employer.Workers of all lands unite and abolish the wages system.
I agree Scandinavian style democratic-socialism is a very nice and progressive system, but it would need to be altered a bit in order to fit well into American economics and politics.
1. Corporations do not operate through violent coercion. A government, by its definition, has a monopoly on violence. Ergo, corporations cannot be compared to governments.
2. CEO's are voted out frequently and for any number of reasons, either by angering share-holders or failing in some other capacity. In representative government, the buck stops nowhere-in-particular. In business, the buck stops at the CEO.
1. Corporations have every incentive to use violence. Usually it's getting national militaries to fight on their behalf. Other times they just kill journalists. Hiring muscle is just the same in the account books as hiring an accountant: They save/make you money in the long run.
2. They only get voted out when they aren't making shareholders enough money, or are so famously corrupt as to cause bad PR. The profit motive dictates all decisions, not public welfare or social responsibility.
That is why the market and the goverment should be as divided as church and state. Otherwhise it's to easy to use the big violence machine that the goverment is for personal profits.
CEO's are only voted out by significant shareholders (a.k.a. rich people), and only when profits are suffering. And what is the easiest way to increase profits? Cut costs. What are some easy and effective ways of cutting costs?
- Lay off employees and force the remaining employees to perform twice the amount of work for the same pay.
- Cut employee wages and benefits.
- Close down factories and replace all employees with third-world labor.

Corporativism is a real danger.
What happens today is that corporations control the government that controls the population ... as a plutocracy
When it should be all the other way around.
I really don't think there is democracy in a monetary system -_-
