  • Best one is from the clones review. "Oh my God what's wrong with your face!!!" Lmao.

  • 9:27 rolf

  • I knew it was gonna end with "what is wrong with your face?!!" hahah xD

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SIDEBAR?

  • You have a basement AND a crawl space?

  • WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FACE!?!?!? BAHAHAHAHAHA

  • do people not know what gin is?

  • drinking gin? Ginny?

  • drinking gin? wtf? ginny?

  • drinking gin? wtf?

  • What's wrong with your face?

  • I bet Redlettermedia just makes up some stuff up about of his life himself. I think he lies about his life.

  • I LIKE PIE!!!!

  • "So the droid army just rolls in unchallenged as expected. Just like the Nazis into France" FUCK YOU. Your review was already hanging by a thread, and this alongside the suicide/murder jokes really paints you as a moron who does not know what they are talking about, and who wants to insult part of their audience, not to mention, we see in this part they have a droid army, why did you think they didn't in part 4? I could make several videos detailing why this review was terrible.

  • @lich109 Make the videos. I'd watch 'em

  • @lich109 jeez... he was kidding. kind of like how he said ww1 happened in 1960 in part 2. please just take the joke, sorry if you got offended.

  • @lich109 HAHAHAHAHAHA....fail

  • According to Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi actually can hold their breath for up to two hours (the Force ability is called "Breath Control"). The real questions you should be asking about its use in the movie are:

1.) Why didn't the two Jedi hold their breaths underwater at 3:05 like they did on the ship at 2:53?

2.) Why didn't anyone explicitly explain this Force ability in the first place?

  • i loved the raid bit and the french revolution

  • TRY OUR ASIAN SALAd

  • I still have no idea why Redlettermedia called Qui-Gon Jinn an alcoholic?

  • @Mynameis708 Jinn spelt as gin is an alcohol.

  • @Mynameis708 Because Jinn is like "Gin" and his decisions don't make sense to him. Like he's drunk or something.

  • @Mynameis708 the bottle of gin passing in the screen could be a hint ^^

  • Why would you waste like 10 - 20 battle droids to destroy 2 Jedi Knights (according to the opening crawl)? They could've just gassed them to death. Also don't they have any personal guards like the Emperor did in ROTJ? That would've been cool, always loved the Emperor's Guards, if only they were given things to do and seen in action. This would've been the perfect opportunity to see them up against Jedi Knights. Oh well.

  • The biggest problem with the prequels is that they weren't made by this guy. Seriously, he understands Star Wars more than fucking George Lucas. Fuck! I can't wait until Lucas dies, then maybe someone competent can remake the prequels into something good.

  • okay i like this movie, but still, this video us fucking halarious

  • Why not Zoidberg?

  • In other words, this movie could have been good if:

    1. The script had a few more rewrites by someone who knew what they were doing (thus clearing up several points).

    2. No Jar Jar Binks.

    3. A more clear protagonist.

    4. No Jar Jar Binks.

    5. Only one Jedi: Obi-Wan, and older.

    6. No Jar Jar Binks.

    7. An older Aniken

    8. No Jar Jar Binks.

  • hold power so he has access to their army later on when he needs it. although he ends up losing the fight and so he has to do behind the scenes work to keep the viceroy out of jail

  • @kingdomdecadence m8.. the audience is supposed to be able to understand a movie without having to read a FAQ/guide.... besides what is with the tradefederations trust in a hooded figure whom they know nothing about? Isn't their plan of invading naboo too big of a gamble? wouldn't the naboo have to rethink their taxes on traderoutes WITOUT an invasion? they already were in trouble without the supplies from outer space, right?

  • then valorum would look good. however, padme and the jedi escaped. so he sent maul to track them down and kill them. when padme gets to coruscant he changes his tactics and gets her to call for a vote of no confidence which also got him to power fast. the people saw valorum as weak because he was being influenced and 'corrupted' by advisers of the trade federation (which of course palpatine was in tandem with). he got chancellor and then aided the TF at naboo because he still wanted them to

  • the movies dont do too well in explaining everything but they do make sense..

for ex: palpatine got valorum to create the tax, and the tax cut into the profits of the trade federation, so he got the TF to protest with a blockade. he intended to take over naboo and show that valorum has no control over the situation. valorum actually tried to resolve it by sending in the 2 jedi because the senate was too slow to make a decision. palpatine wanted the jedi dead because if they resolved the problem,

  • I love the comment about stowing away on separate ships rather than in the same ship. Hilareous when he writes, INCREASES THE CHANCES OF GETTING CAUGHT BY 100% and WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR SHIP LANDS AND YOU ARE THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY FROM WHERE THE OTHER SHIP LANDED? My God this is HILAREOUS!!!!!

  • Too answer one question at 5:51 the main ship where Nut gunray and his friend were throughout the entire film was destroyed near the end of the film so all those hologram for proof would have been wiped out and no one would have believed there story about them taking orders from a hooded man who never showed his face they wrent exactly going to suspect palaptine now would they before he become Chancellor out of hundreds of senators.

  • Also something that's stupid about the politics of the prequels: Natalie Portman had enough Senate votes to impeach the Chancellor... but not enough to stop the invasion??? Huhh? Wouldn't the former be much harder than the latter? And wouldn't the people who voted to impeach the Chancellor be doing so because they obviously support stopping the invasion? It's stupid and non-sensical.

  • George Lucas made 178 accounts to dislike this.

  • Comment removed

  • I can't wait until the next special edition where all the guns in the movie are replaced with walkie-talkies >.<

  • George Lucas ya done goof'd.

  • I didn't know where the Britney Spears song was coming from so I paused the video. That's when I realized... IT IS THE VIDEO!

  • someone should really change the related videos.

  • "Why don't you just leave the door closed for like four hours, then if they try to cut their way out, shoot them in the face them pump in more gas. You've never tried to suffocate a hooker that escaped from your crawlspace before. I recommend spraying RAID in there."

    LOL What the hell?! XDDD

  • I love this guy.

  • King of the hill

  • Am I the only one who thinks it is slightly irritating, that ALL of the related videos involve half-naked women? Well guess what I am watching right now.

  • Someone should seriously rewrite this movie. With more logic.

  • At least a million of these views are me, I reckon. I fucking LOVE this review.

  • This review is genius.

  • everybody should go to the theatre for Phantom Menace 3D and shout WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR FACE and PUT IT IN THE TEA

  • @MrJeromeDwt No, no one should go to see Phantom Menace 3D

  • @Imensae yep that's actually a very good point :p

  • @MrJeromeDwt

One should go sneak into it actually! This is such an awesome idea! Someone do it and upload it onto YT!

  • @MrJeromeDwt Dude, that's fucking brilliant! That might be worth the $9! Damn good idea.

  • PUT IT IN THE THÉ... PUT IT IN THE THÉ... PUT IT IN THE THÉEEE!!!! ;P

  • Again you're forgetting the overall story, Palpatine was manipulating the Trade federation all along, as well as the senate, he just wanted them to act so as to precipitate a crisis in the senate and gain control.

  • @Generalscorpio So why was the "Trade Federation" listening to the mysterious man over the comm? And again, explain it solely with information actually given in the movie, as it's the only point of reference for viewers.

  • @NekoSOM OK info given in the movie, Nute gunray (or possibly his sidekick) says "we should not have made this bargain" (or possibly deal), main point being there is a mention (all beit somewhat fleeting I admit) of some sort of incentive, and frankly do you really need me to do a full profile of the emotion GREED? the viceroy is an obvious character, he's easily tempted by big money, it;s all there in the movie, if you watch it properly

  • @Generalscorpio There is a proper way to watch a movie? That sounds complicated. Thats not what i like to do when sit down to watch a movie.

  • @twoshotdqm When I say watch properly I'm referring to what can be extrapolated from the info given, based on humans, interaction, history and the kind of events George Lucas likes to base various star wars movies on, the little things that people say that hint at stuff that's gone on before or outside what we see in the movie, most movies have those little subtle references to social philosophy, history and human interaction, even things set in the future, Or a long time ago.

  • @Generalscorpio

A bargain isn't necessarily about money, and you need a bit more than having to pay less taxes in order to do something this risky.

Of course, all of this works when you just accept that Nute and co. were complete idiots ;)

  • @Generalscorpio Not to mention he already pointed out that it was a completely convoluted and overly complicated plan that could have gone wrong in a million ways, and he'd have to have godlike psychic abilities to know it would work. Again, he explains ALL of this.

  • @NekoSOM And may I point out the road to war is never simple, the politics that preceeds almost all conflict (as we understand it today) is immense, this is the humanizing factor, it provides a parallel with 20th century conflicts, and I'm sorry if this is a problem for you but it makes sense to me, it seems very simplistic (THAT'S my criticism of the movie, everything leads to everything else too easily, for me it's not complicated enough).

  • @NekoSOM Hmmm.... Godlike psychic abilities, like a very powerful Sith Lord, like the powerful Sith Lord that Palpatine actually is, when taken in the context of the rest of the saga we know that Palpatine was pulling all sorts of tricks and strings all along.

  • @Generalscorpio Your attempt to add deeper meaning to one of the most shallow movies of all time aside, Palpatine was shown in the original trilogy to be quite ignorant in many ways, namely in his complete ignorance of the inner turmoil of his apprentice regarding his son. Suddenly, we're expected to believe he was able to foresee everything in his convoluted and ass-backward path to power? Bull. His rise was the result of gigantic plot holes, nothing more or less.

  • @NekoSOM Both true and false, with power comes arrogance, by the time we get to ROTJ the Emperor's power is massive so he like many others before him probably considers his position un-contestable, a man without power can have very clear ideas of how to gain power, they don't always know what to do when they have power, I feel this is the Emperor's character.

  • This is pretty funny

  • Only 6 cans?

  • thing in the mouth face lol

  • I accidentally his whole face.

  • Question:

If they were going to kill the jedi and blow the ship up at the start....Why didn't they just blow up the ship in the beginning?

  • @saminabox They didn't know they were Jedi at the start! They thought they were diplomats making negotiations, then the little proto droid somehow knew they were JEDI!

  • I think it became clear long ago that while Lucas is deeply possessive over the Star Wars franchise, he has no real respect for it or his fans. He rightly feels that it is his to do with as he pleases, unfortunately the only pride he takes in his creation is in the money that it generates. He may be incredibly wealthy, he may even be a good guy when you get to know him, but as an "artist" he is morally and ethically bankrupt.

  • why does george lucas feel the need to make a comedy out of star wars with episode I. Almost every minute there is a joke.

  • Fuck i love this guy's starwars reviews. I'ts better than the original trilogy

  • this review is better then the movie.

  • Answer me, Thing-in-the-mouth-face!

  • How about a night in Megan's Foxhole?

  • Would Optimus Prime ripoff that hidoeous face?

  • Whats wrong with your faaaaaccce?

  • "how bout a night in Megan's foxhole?"

sigh, they missed a golden buisiness opportunity...

  • 6:07 - 6:22 Fucking LOL'd so hard!

  • I can't understand why you would enjoy the original trilogy if the illogical plot and sub-plot aspects in star wars seem to irritate u so much. I'm sure you'd rush to defend A New Hope if someone made a clip, pointing out the glaring idiocy of the death star's "weak spot". I think you need to explain your obvious double-standards. It seems that the original trilogy has some sort of nostaligic immunity when it comes to criticism. By the way, I do very much agree with you about the main plot flaws

  • @jollyroger475 Well, you're basing his reaction to nitpicking a new Hope on assumptions, which often prove to be incorrect. Also, if you found yourself in possession of the most advanced military technology science had to offer, and you were capable of destroying a whole planet with it, do you think you'd ask if it had a weak spot?

  • @microsoft115 I've read none of your comments so I don't know what your argument is and if I agree with the premise, but I just have to say, if I was in possession of the most advanced military technology science had to offer and was capable of destroying a whole planet with it, yes, I would ask if it had a weak spot, that's generally how you improve upon things, by subjecting them to scrutiny and removing the weakness.

  • @EdandRummy Sorry to barge into a discussion, but I must explain why Death Star's "weak spot" isn't a plot hole. The Original trilogy has the elements and pacing that a fairy tale does (there are numerous papers written about this). It has a Hero ho goes through a transformation to become a Knight. It has a Rogue who eventually becomes Noble. It has an Old Sage who sacrifices himself. It has a Fallen Knight who redeems himself. I has Magical Animal Companion (Chewy). I has a Dark Wizard. (cont)

  • @EdandRummy Long story short, Death Star is a symbol/metaphor of a Dragon. A mythic, near immortal beast, capable of destroying worlds with it's fire. And in fairy tales, every Dragon has a weak spot. Many try to kill a Dragon: warriors, wizards, etc, but no one succedes. Than, a young Hero comes, using only his wits and capabilites, and slays the Dragon by pearcing him in the weak spot. Just remember Bard from the Hobbit. And that's why original SW rules.

  • @EdandRummy I know I'm becoming boring at this point, but if you want more info about Fairy Tales - SW parallels check out Wikipedia article about Vladimir Propp ("Functions"), or better yet his book "Morphology of the Folk Tale". Don't worry, he's not a quack, he is a very respectable and influential folk-literature researcher. You'll be surprised to see how many books/films follow his "functions". Again, sorry if I bored you.

  • @microsoft115

you SHOULD ask if it has a weak spot if you're in the middle of a war.

  • @jollyroger475 exactly. the original trilogy is LOADED with scenes that make no sense at all, bad dialogue, bad acting (ROTJ), bad camera work/lighting/editing (ROTJ), and some completely pointless scenes. but, like you said, those movies have for some reason become immune to this type of criticism because people are so nostalgic about those movies. i'm not saying one trilogy is better than the other. both trilogies have some pretty big flaws.

  • @hwkeye14

Not as bad as the prequels got.

Even the worst of the original ROTJ is miles ahead of the crappy prequels.

  • @hwkeye14 The point is that the old trilogy had some pretty tough restrictions to work with. Think about all the hardships they went through while filming the original trilogy... Nowadays with the prequels, there is simply NO EXCUSE for these kinds of blatant flaws, especially with how far movie making technology has come over the last few decades since the original trilogy.

  • how about sents i,v astablished the federation mite as well have been aseprtet galectic power.the plan whas to have the tready be a resighnation from the republic&then send it to corasont. the droids already around the aroudblast them&in on the brigin will gunre go to an nother rome to call sidieus then sidius hase them have have the droid just plast them but ther jedie sentse tell the ahead&thay exapt there an exapt pod using the forc to unlock it

  • how about money&lots of the people have machines in on them.a guy in could city.thay whated rescue the he queen.thay do,nt control were the bod landen so have to get help geting to the captal of the planet witch is being invaden all over

  • It's a movie dude not real life

  • "Your wife'll never know what hit her...I mean, Jedi."

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR FACE?

  • 5:07 Cake.

Gamers get no cookie for getting that reference

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 Exactly. I'm not about to read an entire library of novels and shit to have to understand the plot of a movie which should be able to stand on it's own. It's like going to see a Superhero movie and needing an advanced knowledge of every comic ever printed about said hero. PS: Nice to see a fellow Retsupurae lover enjoying Plinkett.

  • @chosentonessournotes movie was made for fans like other movies are made for the book-reading fans of twilight, harry potter, star trek, lord of the rings, narnia

  • @ojawall Well, that's because Twilight, Harry Potter, LOTR, Narnia, etc. were novelizations first. That's where the fanbase is. That's not the case with Star Wars. Fans of the original trilogy were the target audience here, and Lucas and company COULD NOT have alienated the fanbase any more than he did.

  • @chosentonessournotes yeah, but harry potter was written after LOTR and many event sequences and structures and shit were copied from it lol.

but uhh agree with you on what you said lolo.

  • @chosentonessournotes Just for the record, I enjoy the novels not because they help understand the movie, but because they're good stories on their own separate from the movie. When people say "you should read the novelized version" it's generally not a defense of the movie but a promotion of the novel.

  • @WatermelonRat That's fine and dandy, but the few people I was responding to were saying that it's my fault for not knowing the expanded Star Wars universe. My basic point is that when a movie is released as a major motion picture, it should stand on it's own and shouldn't require the viewer to sift through dozens of novelizations, comics, etc. That's all I was saying.

  • @chosentonessournotes That's totally understandable.

  • @MrRayman3007 I cannot tell you how appropriate it was that you put "Derp" at that end of that ridiculous rant, because you're a fucking retard with no grasp on human anatomy and physiology.

  • I don't understand why anyone would like this movie. Except some who are under 14 or something...

  • The smell is separate from the gas itself... Some times, and maybe the gas dose not kill once inhale. When the body is motionless though the oxygen in the long stays there and continues to flow easily through blood. Blood needs oxygen to flow through the muscles and keep them working. Swing strains the muscle so oxygen needs to go to the muscles more and more faster faster. If you're not moving at all your muscles really don't need oxygen. Derp

  • @MrRayman3007 Umm...so if the smell doesn't come from the gas, then where it comes from? The smell basically experienced when particles of a substance is getting into your nostrils. Basically you're saying that the gas and the smell are two completely different substances...makes a lot of sense right? Besides, Plinkett said that maybe a small sniff of the gas wouldn't hurt.

  • all the related videos are of tits? lmao

  • 5:06 Cake...

You get no cookie for knowing where that reference is from

  • its very sad that this movie review was better then the movie...

  • @quezcatol dats cause plinket rules

  • did qui-gon say "dioxygen", as in, what we breathe?

  • @superbum900 lol

  • @superbum900 I believe it was 'dioxysyn', although that makes no sense, but...hey, wait, you're right! Maybe they don't breathe like we do...but they're humans...stupid Phantom Menace...

  • @bdtiger880 I checked the star wars wiki. It was Dioxis, in reference to Dioxin, an actual poison used in pesticides.

  • @WatermelonRat It does not sound like it.

  • @bdtiger880 I suppose it wouldn't be the first time an actor couldn't pronounce George's dialogue, but that is what it was meant to be (or at least what it was take to be in canon. If you don't believe me, you can google it. The star wars wiki entry is the first result.

  • its not that friggen bad its better than episode 2 and 3 cuz of christian haydenson who was terrible

  • Lucas should watch this.Too bad he won't.

  • @Cheburashka207

He did watch it. Soon after, he's getting ready to stop directing.

  • put the rat poison in the tea!

  • Am I the only one who's not interested in Megan Fox?

  • Your wife won't know what hit her!!! LOL

  • ...that wasn't the french revolution...

  • @TheBluntNinja Congratulations. You actually got the joke. And just in case you missed it before, the Cuban crisis wasn't called World War I either.

  • @kragary

jokes are supposed to be funny though.

  • What is wrong with your face?

  • 172 people like A Phantom Menace.

  • Screams at the end are from the Hercules Playstation game. XD

  • 2:24 LOL wow I never even thought of that. Great catch!

  • These reviews are so fucking good. He nails it.

  • This is fudging hilarious!

  • You are hilarious

  • 6:02- challenge accepted...

    "Error, try again" STFU youtube!!

  • Whats up with your faaaaaaaaaace!

  • Why isn't there more porn on YouTube?

  • @CM377106 Quiet troll.

  • @CM377106 watch the review again, you might learn something

  • @CM377106

    Shut it, retard Lucas fanboy.

  • @CM377106

Its called a MOVIE review, no one cares about the books because no one should read extra books to understand a bad movie.

  • @Szgerle I hate when people use that stupid shit in an argument. A good movie does not need extra shit to explain stuff. Its like DLC for games only more stupid.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9

Its just a different way to phrase the oldest rule about visual media. Show, dont tell.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 well..DLC in games are extra bits usually. Showing something from a different perspective for example.

  • @Szgerle I disagree

  • @Szgerle

    Amen

  • Comment removed

  • @Szgerle People do care about the books, or there would not be hundreds of them. But it's not about understanding the movies. Most of the novels are set in totally different time periods from the movies. The most popular eras for the expanded universe is AFTER return of the jedi, and 5,000 years before episode 1

  • @zikten

    Movie. Review.

  • This whole review is a comedic mind-f%ck but with completely valid points

  • DON'T YOU GET IT! The related videos are porn and stuff because that's what Plinket himself would be looking at on the internet; so they show up on his videos!

  • if you knew anything about star wars alot of your points are invalid

  • "i accidently ran over a korean family with my car" meh thats a misdemeanor in vegas (no joke, If your not intoxicated its a slap on the wrist)

  • I actually started to tear up at the end of his Episode 3 review when he was comparing it to the original trilogy. Now THAT shows how different the two were.

  • Wow, I've seen this movie 3x, I think, and I don't remember any of this. What a buncha crap!

  • @ghostofandy You really must have a shitty taste in film.

  • Put it in the fucking tea!

  • PUT THE RAT POISON IN THE TEA

  • the Jedi only fight if they are fiered at. and that is how they get the name of the peace keepers.

He said worn the Naboo because they need to know what is going to come there way.

the Naboo stay Nutral during any fight. they beleave it will save there people. Queen Amedala wont rase a wepon to any live forme of any sort.

they split up cuz if one is found the other can get away.

They went to Otagunga to see if the Gungans Could give them a lift to the city of theed, where the Queen's palace is.

  • @ewanmcgregor00 sounds like we have ourselves a butthurt fanboy here haha

  • @ewanmcgregor00 Good lord learn to spell
