    how does this measure the wind speed?

    don't you have to count the times it goes around..?

  • I think your question is the same like nugfingr's. First I set the speedometer to the size of the anemometer. After that I compared the measured windspeed to the data of a bought anemomoeter and adjusted the setup size of the speedometer until both anemometers shew the same value. As follows I did NOT calculate the speedometer's setup by a formula what you might have thought or wished.

  • Does the anemometers windspeed indicated take into account that some of the force of the wind is actually preventing it from rotating on the opposite sides of the "cups", hence slowing it down a bit? or am I off my rocker?

  • I guess that you think I just calculated the speed factor to determine the correct wind speed. In fact I used another industrial anemometer to calibrate it.
