I found this too but now, one problem... There are no MIDI files of the songs I want to make into 8bit. You know a free and good (and free) mp3 to midi converter?

@Akatsuki021 There are some, but mp3 to midi is doomed to sound horrible.

It's kinda obvious why it can't work, if you take a look at the behaviour of midi and its precise notes,

but therefore also lifeless notes compared to real instruments (recording -> mp3).

It's like mp3 represents the "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli, with a lot of different colors

and you gotta copy it with midi, that has 16 immiscible colors only.

Hope that makes sense somehow.

Just a little tip; You don't need to mute all the others to hear just one isolated track; See the little button next to the mute button, you click it and it turns into an S. That means Solo. Putting any instrument on S will only play that; You can do it with more than one at a time, too.

It's about GXSCC software and how to produce some proper tunes - not about chiptuning and something like that. Last thing would be quite boring and pretty difficult for the averange PC user (I wanna deliver fun - not torture xD).
