Anthony, thank you so much for all these posts - I really enjoy them and you are an excellent musician and teacher. I believe that you once posted a video discussing where you place your self worth - not necessarily in how good a guitarist you are, but who you are yourself. I totally agree. God bless you!
To all you Xmas song seekers out there, and Mr. gr8tbluesgtr, check out Philip Sayce's playing on Melissa Etheridge's album, A New Thought For Christmas. Specifically on O, Night Divine. Very very cool, powerful playing. Just incredible to be frank. Thought I'd share, in this xmas guitar playing video.
where is your gear and settings for this tune mentioned .All instructors leave this vital info out in the discription and its so important. But I loved your take on silent night and thanks for the lesson AS ALWAYS GREAT JOB !!!
anthony thanks a lot for sharing us the spirit of xmas adding to this very well know xmas tune all over the world the taste of Hendrix and SRV wish you the best in this xmas love peace ,saludos desde Mexico
I'm part jewish (well i'm jewish mostly i guess) and part christian, i celebrate christmas but since my father died (december 2007, he was christian) it hasen't been quite the same, i'm gonna learn this for the next christmas in honor of him ^^!
Anthony, you mentioned in the Strat comparison video that you prefer the SRV over the KWS Strat. I can see the evidence of that point on your fretboard, lol. Honestly, I'm with you on that one. I think it sounds better overall, though I think both guitars have their purposes. Kenny's Strat sounds great for a garage-type raw blues band or something like that, just my opinion.
very nice guitar! I have the same identical guitar. Bought from a guy in Ashevillie N.C. along with a S.R.V. multicolor guitar pick stevie used in a 1985 concert along with the ticket stubb from the same concert. Through some reasearch i have found that the pick is actually worth more than the guitar. maybe because stevie was actually using the pick. Also great video. your an awsome player and I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.

I want to thank you for this lesson.
I learned most of it on saturday night (minus the G&E string sliding finish) and played it in church on sunday morning to rave reviews.
Learning this also helped me to understand better how hendrix style chords connect up. (something I have trouble with)
Thanks again, you ROCK!!
