Paul is wrong when he said "everyone around them has nukes". ONE country around them has nukes and that is Pakistan. However, Saudi Arabia said it would follow suit and develop nukes if Iran does. Plus, Ron Pauls prophecy of a trade war with China hasn't materialized. PLUS Pauls comment that this is the same run up as Iraq. Saddam was letting inspectors run free all over. Saddam wasn't calling for the destruction of its neighbors. So when Paul says "Its the exact same thing" he is full of shit.

There's an eons-long conflict between Arabs and Persians which I doubt we'll ever see the end of. That being said, however, Iran's current government has never invaded anyone or started a war. I don't like everything about Ron Paul. I disagree with him severely on several positions. He has some really crazy theories, and has made big gaffes.
Having said that, I respect him more than any other person in our government. This is a man that stands by his views, and honestly believes what he says. He speaks of actually important matters, not the ones that people want to think are important. I don't like a lot about Ron Paul, but it's undeniable that we need more principled people like him.
It would be worthy to look at the motive that Iran doesn't any longer want to use the dollar in their currency markets to look why people might want to make Iran their scapegoat for not being able to make deals they would normally want to make.

The media has to paint Ron Paul as "kooky" so that the average sheep ignore him. When you have the perception that EVERYONE thinks something is crazy, you're more likely to just ASSUME it's crazy, and never check it out for yourself. There's an eons-long conflict between Arabs and Persians which I doubt we'll ever see the end of. That being said, however, Iran's current government has never invaded anyone or started a war. I don't like everything about Ron Paul. I disagree with him severely on several positions. He has some really crazy theories, and has made big gaffes.
Having said that, I respect him more than any other person in our government. This is a man that stands by his views, and honestly believes what he says. He speaks of actually important matters, not the ones that people want to think are important. I don't like a lot about Ron Paul, but it's undeniable that we need more principled people like him.
