You are more than correct, it is infact as is described, and as soon as you mentioned chassis number it all came back to me, I remember reading about the original rebuild a few years ago, I made a cardinal mistake of reading comments before reading the info of video as my phone doesn't bring the info up for some reason, mistake learnt lol my bad.
No offence taken. Sorry, but it IS an original. If you read the description, you will see it is an ORIGINAL tennants panels chassis, produced in the 1960's and one of only three left over from the original production run, along with all the suspension, steering etc. It was stored (along with it's two sister chassis) by John Wilment until the early 1990's when it was finally assembled. The is NOT a replica/continuation/recreation car, it is the real deal. For confirmation, see ronnie spain
You're a fucking Idiot it is not a 2005 GT. There are thousands of Continuation models being built today, they can be registered as Ford GT40s, '66,'67 etc. Why don't you make sure you know what you're talking about before you start to type or open your mouth. Fucking Moron.
@ChronoLegionX LOL, it does indeed sound "right" for a GT40. The original cars had what some call a "180 deg exhaust," IIRC. One header tube from the right cyl head crosses over to the collector on the left side exhaust, and vice versa. This smoothes out the exhaust pulses, giving an engine note very different from what one would expect from a small block Ford. Still sexy as hell though. GT40 FTW! :-D

Even better than the original blue/orange livery of the original Gulf/John Wiyer GT40es.

Um...interesting choice of colors? Is there a muffler and cat on the thing cause it sounds like my grandpa's Buick...that's not a GT40 as I know it.

There weren't too many cars ever made prettier than that one. Too bad this particular example looks like Picasso's seizure.
