all you people are kinda ignorant who are against picks because the first electric basses were made for guitarist so they could have a more solid low end its a matter of choice...im tired of everyone fighting about picks because any real bassist should be able to slap, finger pick, or use a plectrum..and if you rrly think that finger are only way play a nonelectric upright bass.
it's a great cab, tons of low end. works great as a standalone. i have it paired with the GK 1001-RBII and it has enough power to play with a metal band (2 guitars/drums with double bass) and enough power to support my college's jazz band of about 40 people. i'm very happy with it and i got one for under 400 bucks. very lightweight and it has casters so its easy to roll around
Okay, just so u guys know, im 17 and in a punk band with a few other dudes thats going reallllly well and we are recording with a dude currently and are gonna put out an e.p. Our band is called "The Dot Syndrome." i have been playing bass since i was in 8th grade and im a senior right now. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING A PICK. It actually gives u a brighter sound and makes playing bass more fun in my opinon. i play a fender jaguar jazz bass and fucking love it. Nothing wrong with a pick!
>>>raisingfear.....the only fear your raising is in your moms ass hole. shes never had one so small there before. anyway, lets cut to the chase. picking means nothing. if you fucking knew anything about a bass and how to play it takes more talent to use a pick than it does to finger it. so go on and actually look into shit before you start talking shit.
Look buddy, I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just stating facts. Fingers = proper technique. Pick = PHAIL. Supersnake knows deep down inside, that I'm right. Get over it.
ohkay well good you dont want to start anything. but you still are missing the point. there is nothing wrong with picking. picking gives it a crisper sound and fingers is a bit sloppy, if you will. im sure if you ask any bassist from any major band they will say... picking is a talent along with finger strumming. so, once again, read up on some proper fucking bass technique and then get back to me. alright? thank you.
to be honest i dont know if you can finger anything. and guitar and bass is totally different. it takes more talent to use your fingers on a guitar than to use a pick. the bass is opposite. =]

I've been playing guitar for almost 7 years. Picking on a bass is cake compared to fingering it. I can't finger a bass for shit.
