@Bandman630 Well if you learn a new half time show for each football game you usually don't have enough time to memorize the music. Also we write in the music small things to help us remember the drill too. So I am thankful that we have the music while we march. The only time we don't use music is during circle drill, because it is impossible to look at the music and march that drill at the same time.

i have seen both ut and memphis perform their thriller show. i have got to say memphis does it way better. when memphis does their dance they are accually performing it and they really get into the dance. ut looks like they are just trying to dance and not really into it. and yes memorizing your music and not having flip folders on the field does make it look more professional.

I know im a UT fan and that im supossed to side with the UT folks on this but memphis did perform it better.

Do remember their march to the stadium, their circle drill, and their pregame is all memorized. Pregame is like 10 sonngs, cirle drill is 6-7(including end), and the march to the stadium is like 5 songs. which all together totaling more than other bands 3-4 shows. And if yo lookat just about any oher bands pregame its not nearly as hard or well marched. So sure one half-time show isn't perfect but it is entertaining. And their other things are perfect & harder than other band's shows. Check it.

There are plenty of DANCING bands out there that could have pulled off this horrible show better than UTK, and I'll bet real world dollars that over half those kids felt like complete idiots doing that routine.

honestly, i don't care about any of the shows, i just showed very big interest in this one after i heard about it. i don't look out to diss any band's shows, lol. i don't care about your show, the roll tides show, and frankly, i barely pay attention to these shows, but i showed somewhat of an interest in it after hearing on the news one night about how the band has decreased in its amount of members in the past few years because of the requirements being so high to get into the university.
