R.I.P., we lost u way to soon too. u deserve WAY much more props than you've received over the years. Any and all singers should take notes from her style.
UNTIL now I thought the only was to hear this song was in Gina Rowland & her film maker husband, John Cassevettes version of SHAKESPEARS, THE TEMPEST. a great helicopter shot (POV) down the ..(hudson river?) I havent seen it since I was a kid in the theatre. I just remember that amazing voice and shot of MANHATTAN @ sunset
LOVED THIS TOO, WHAT A WONDEFUL CHANNEL THIS IS. I could stay here for ever I hope you have hunbreds of uploads, I am scarred to go and look and find out that there are only a few more................. please do not terll me , I shall just pour myself over them one at a time , to give you the opportunity to upload more lol. this is definately an #OMG channel.
@beachfrontal LOL! Well, THANK YOU!! I have 75 videos on this channel and about as many uploads on 9 other channels that can all be accessed (and subscribed to -- hint and a wink) from the top page of billysscreeningroom2. Thank you SO MUCH! Always love having a new fan ... and friend.
It looks like you had way too much fun with this one, Rick.:) Beautifully done. Wonderful. Another beauty. If you like this song, Mel Torme has the best rendition. It's on his "Songs of New York" LP. It has a frantic, crazy opening verse but it quickly melts into a nice/laid back swing.
I gave you a thumbs up for you but ever since Woody Allen did his vile creepy actions with Soon-Yi I am repusled by him. Anyway your love of film is very touching. thank you. I love NY also.
Fascinating video as the great Manhattan full of light and life! This is the undisputed masterpiece of genius Woody Allen. His acting is art. To be rediscovered!!
Man... a Love Letter indeed!!! Damn but I miss NYC!! LA has got nuthin' on the Big Apple!!
Delicious editing, Rick... and it musta been fun working with all this jazzy Black & White fluid footage. And Dinah belted it out like she was watching it with me. :D Massively good job brother!!
damn, her pitch gives me goose bumps.
