  • The Tomcat 3.0 is one of the smoothest locking knives I have ever opened. It's a great knife and would outlast many other knives I would have thought. Overbuilt in Seki City

  • This knife is a classic. The first folding knife SOG ever made and it was a home run and still in production all these years later. With no pocket clip it is really a backpack/briefcase/laptop case type of knife for carrying with, although not impossible to carry in the pocket but as you say, a tad heavy. You can get a belt carry sheath if you want.

  • @wwwknivestowncom My one had a belt sheath with it.

  • my problem every knife i bring to work that cost more than $40 it gets lost.

  • @660magnum People love taking things that don't belong to them don't they? Especially expensive things.

  • @topslop1 ikr ive had a 20 dollar knife stolen

  • Thanks for great review!

Every time I watch this video I want to buy this knife though I already have one (S95CF).

  • @infernalitie You're welcome. Enjoy your Tomcat.

  • i got one of these, had it for about a year...out of about 20 knives i own its easily my favorite...i dont use it has hard as you do but its nice to know if i decide to it'll hold up

  • @1234TIMMER4321 It's a popular knife for collections and to collect. I just used to use it as an urban jungle survival knife - pretty much when I was on my own without many tools.

  • Poor Tomcat..)

  • Not selling this, but keep saving up buddy, you'll get there.

  • Hey ! Hi, a quick question Would you sell it or trade it to me? Iam a huge fan of SOG knives but I can´t afford a brand new Tomcat III.

    Cool video.

  • can you use it as a decent throwing knife? (not for dedicated use)

  • @blixexxx000 I've not actually thrown it and I don't know the slightest about how to go about throwing knives. I don't think you'd want this knife as a thrower, there are many lighter weight options that are going to be much more balanced for throwing. This is a cutting / stabbing knife for sure, not a thrower.
