If you get hit while fighting the Mother Brain's first stage, you'll be invincible for a few seconds. Take that time to unload as many missiles as you can (Super Missiles won't work).
i heard that in the metroid manga, samus was having a flashback to her childhood, when she opens her eyes she sees the metroid attack mother brain, and when it heals her and gets killed it showed her crying, thats how alot of gamers felt after that, seeing the hatchling get killed was heartbreaking
I use supers on the Zebetites because it makes getting through them a lot faster and easier. If you sit there and pump tons of missiles into them, you're much more likely to take hits from the Rinkas and turrets.
Plus, supers aren't that much faster than charged ice/wave/plasma against Mother Brain. You probably actually save more time by using supers on the Zebetites than by keeping them for Mother Brain.
Though there's always the trick to bypass the Zebetites entirely.
No idea. There are some oddities with the game's sound effects at times and the point where it pauses and scrolls the screen to the left there seems to be especially prone to them.
Normal missiles should be used to break the glass open since supers don't break it any faster. Supers do more damage once you start getting shots into Mother Brain herself but it's easier to hit with rapid firing normal missiles while dodging the rings, and not as wasteful if a shot gets blocked by a ring or turret shot. If you have good aim, switching to supers after breaking a hole in the glass is faster, but otherwise I recommend sticking with normal missiles.

Heres a challenge for ya: Play SM completely through (No 100% req) so that you dont take any damage besides in mother brain last part... ok? I wanna see you pull that off.
It's harder than it looks. If you go in without knowing the patterns and timing of the turret shots and rings you're likely to take a fair bit of damage, and there's no way you'll do it without getting hit at all. I actually found this part harder to do without getting hit than the second stage of the fight.

I personally thought Ridley was one of the easier bosses. I had more trouble with Draygon (fighting it the regular way, not with the grapple beam)

Thats pretty good. I think the motherbrain in Zero Mission was WAY more difficult. Lets see if you can get away with any damage on that. ;)
