  • Chris Perkins looks like Jim Carrey without hair. (By the way, thanks for all these videos. I'm working on being an AD&D 2nd Edition DM. Although versions differs so much, it is always beneficial to be able to observe a professional on air. And with a great video quality, which is awesome. Wish there was more roleplaying, honestly, I was kinda bored in the final chamber.)

  • I want to know what all was used in this game. What sets and what not.

  • Audio sync is off..

  • Have they, or do they plan on making this adventure into a published module? It looks like a lot of fun with a lot of potential.

  • You were talking about an adventure that you threw away that had to do with a swamp, black dragon and lizard folk. That sounds a lot like the adventure we are doing with my group. The Forgotten Realms. Pool of Radiance i think it was. But that is a 3.5 adventure.

  • What level where the pre-made characters? I like to start adventures at lvl 4-6.

  • I have copied the map out of these videos and am going to use it for my own gaming sessions. Might have to alter the adventure, cause I don't have all the necessary minis.

  • Chris Perkins has said on his blog, that if there is sufficient demand, he will publish his Robot Chicken adventure along with the other parts he mentions in the commentaries, so head on over and leave him a comment

  • where the hell is Seth Green?

  • @savage642 seth green isn't the only writer. he doesn't even right close to the majority of the sketches.

  • You made that adventure in one night?!? You sir, are my hero.

  • I'd love to see a later podcast utilize the swamp adventure Chris wrote. =)

  • Does anyone know who makes those large wet-erase maps? I did a quick search, but didn't turn up any that seemed to be that size.

  • @TheBakachan I'm fairly certain that chris isn't using wet-erase boards here (you'd have to look closer at his later videos when he rips away the grid to be sure). You should be able to find large graph paper at a crafts or office supply stores. If your looking for wet-erase, search google for "chessex battlemat". The largest I have seen is 34"x48"

  • @brawler839 Okay looking at the later videos it definitely is a wet-erase map

  • Chris Perkins is my idol He's a role modle to me

  • Chris you're a total legend and have contributed greatly to reviving me and my brother's interest in D&D. We're now arranging a session with friends I havent seen in years, and we've both spent hundreds of pounds already on this darn stuff !

  • I didn't like Chris at first. The first set of PA podcasts felt a bit stiff. But he's grown on me. He's grown and gotten better and I'm beginning to see his considerable skill as a session designer and DM. He keeps it clean, fast paced, and fun. I dig him a lot now and really appreciate his dedication to giving DnD a strong internet presence. Doing commentary is just icing on the cake. Thanks Chris.

  • electrics and water makes for an intence game

  • What is the venue? It looks really nice - look at those chairs!!

  • from 1:36 to 1:45, you can see some guy's head. wtf?

  • so true about the dwarves and armor! xD

i often describe dwarves as lumps of metal with some dwarf inside

  • great vid

  • Does anyone know when the next Penny arcade podcast will be? Will there be another penny arcade podcast?

  • They talked about a 4th, but it's been months.

  • These guys cant hold a candle to the Major Spoilers D&D Pod cast.

  • please

  • I could listen to Chris read the telephone book, his voice is so silky and smooth.

  • @Phished123 He isn't bad looking either.

  • is it possible to watch this session without the commentary?

  • look for the video that doesn't say DM's Commentary its like 3 vids down in the related videos O.o

  • Go to the D&D website, and you can watch the individual episodes.

  • The Undermountain in Waterdeep is how I was first introduced into D&D, with Eye of the Beholder.

  • Chris says he likes to throw the new players right into the game so the story gets moving right away. I do agree that's a good way, but I think a little more setup into the D&D world would have helped the players get into character and work as a team better.

  • I agree, particularly as extensive a setting as Forgotten Realms

  • @KatanaGeldar How do you run Faerun?

  • Wish I could say I did, I've only played it for a short while. My DM prefers her own setting.

  • @KatanaGeldar Nothing wrong with that really. I have players of Baldur's Gate in my campaign, so I choose to hearken to the Forgotten Realms. I think this nostalgia helps to create a fun, but still creative game.

  • this seems to be a set up for a dvd maybe? that would actually be a pretty kewl idea if they do

  • Well, as someone who has lived in L.A. since 1992, I can assure you that we DO get rain in the winter months and more often than not, the rain we get can be incredibly intense!

  • I really wish i could download the audio to this as a podcast.

  • Who's the guy who pops up behind the board thing in the back?

  • @Fargo1168 it's a guy.

  • @Fargo1168 santa clause or your mom, whichever is heavier

  • @Fargo1168 Audio engineer. There are at least six microphones in that room, probably more, and they need to be mixed somehow :P
