  • Terrible! Clockwise or Counter-clockwise? Which direction does one choose based on the direction of the warp? Stupid!

  • @scienceisgod1 Don't call yourself stupid. It's demeaning to you and your monkey friends. Anti-clockwise usually releases tension, and bows the neck... in most instances. Clockwise normally turns up the tension and makes it less bowed.

  • @scienceisgod1 Whats the point of wasting your time making a video that omits the most critical point! Thanks?

  • errrrrmmm... sounds like weird advice. Just keep it in tune all of the time.

  • @shockalotti You are retarded

  • @LogCabinofAwsomeness lol, hey that's fine :o, I least I don't look like a horse's ass (like you do).

  • @LogCabinofAwsomeness hey, he's Australian. He knows what's up.

  • PLZ READ THIS HELP

    hi

i practice daily and keep my semi acoustic guitar in the cover for night(until i sleep) and it can extend up to morning and evening

coz i practice only in evenings

so my question is should i regularly tune and loosen the strings coz my dealer told me to do so regularly but some guys told me that you shouldnt coz its a matter of a day and you can keep the guitar tuned for days if you practice daily

so someone PLZ TELL ME SHOULD I TUNE DAILY AND LOOSEN THE STRINGS?or not?

  • @1antonioazul right, I hear ya. That's pretty insightful.

  • i tried to do it but couldn't feel anything turning.. Also the 3rd fret at 3rd string still buzzes

  • @vjlord on my guitar 6 and 5 string buzz :P do you fix your strings buzz??? if you are give advice how to fix it :D

ps. i think its truss rod problem :D

  • @BfmvANDmetal4ever if its truss rod problem, use the hex key n try turning the rod. Num of vids are available here.

What I did is, removed all the strings, tried to turn the truss rod. My Guitar now doesn't buzz tht much, 99% of the prob is solved..

  • @vjlord thats risky step i heard :P i dont want to risk with my guitar :P do you know some other problems that can cause guitar strings to buzz? tnx for reply :D

  • @BfmvANDmetal4ever some1 told me tht, my truss rod might b damaged, thts y it buzzes... Dont kno any other way out...

  • @vjlord ok bro tnx for reply anyway do you fix yours? :D

  • @vjlord I had a guitar with a truss rod that would buzz and I took it out then put it back in. PERFECT now. Take it out and check it.

  • just curious though possible to make all notes in the fret perfect tune?..the upper notes of my lower E and the A and D string are slightly sharper...I am using a 400 dollar ibanez..not the best out there...need help...coz tend to play upper voicings..

  • Strange, the guy has got 9 dislikes out of 19. His guitar is not exactly Martin but he is giving you very important information. You need to be careful though cuz you will break your fret

1- if you think you can make your 300$ guitar sound like 4000$ Taylor

2-If you think you will play as good as John Mayer by adjusting the truss-rod

3- If you start abusing it as if it was a tuner,

Small adjustment will do the magic most of the time so DON`T DAMAGE YOUR GUITAR.

  • hi ive just got myself a ovation copy guitar and the action is way to high im guessing it needs the trust rod ajusting yes???

  • @marycockburn1 So you have a double junk guitar. One for being a Ovation, and to a copy of a piece of shit.

  • I think I heard Bmajor chord buzzing a bit.

  • You are incorrect. There are 3 methods by which you can adjust action of the neck (stated easiest to hardes):

    1. adjust truss rod tension

    2. raise or lower the bridge with a shim

    3. shim in the neck

As long as you make small tweaks, the necessary neck curvature will be preserved. Trust me I have tried all these methods, and the trussrod is the correct one to make in 98% of cases. Flattening out the neck too much hardly ever happens. Also the method you propose leads to the most f@#k ups.

  • The action of an acoustic guitar is adjusted by means of a shim in the base of the neck and not the truss rod! the truss rod is there to counter balance bowing or arching of the neck only (straightness).

  • @daleparky Shim LOL just spend the money and buy a Martin, Santa Cruz. A Blueridge is a very nice guitar.
