The best thing of Japanese films is the director and the screenwriter(s) usually use the story to discuss the people's point of view for life nowadays. It's also the reason why I like to watch this kind of Japanese films as I can learn while watching them. Other countries may not make this kind of movies or not much.

Ozu's style was deceptively simple and breathtakingly contemplative. Tokyo Story may not be for everyone but people should still show respect for it.
